What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Taking a great photograph requires patience, practice, and persistence. I have all of those qualities. For the style I like shooting, my goal is to make the client as comfortable as possible so that they are themselves. That creates for the best photos, always.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I encourage my clients to ask as many questions that allow them to feel secure about the photoshoot. I understand that it's a very vulnerable task to be in front of the camera, I don't like it myself. But the best photographers are receptive and responsive. So ask away!
What do you love most about your job?
I love that I can be involved with a special moment that will stick with a client forever. A lot of clients reach out to me years later telling me that the photos they received are moments that they continually talk about with their friends and family. It's a gratifying feeling that I'm glad I can be part of.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started taking photographs when I was 14 years old. It never felt like a business to me, and sometimes still doesn't. I just love doing it.

I'm personable and not afraid to adjust, which is why I am able to connect with my clients more than other photographers. I also care about your time, so turnaround in getting photos is usually not a long wait... I get anxious about receiving photos too, I get it!

After photoshoots, I like to edit lots of the photos taken that day which can be given electronically, through email, right to your phone or other social media outlets.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Covid-19 has been a year for me to learn the most about customer preferences. The clients have the option for me to wear a mask during a shoot which I will respect the entirety of the shoot.
My equipment is also cleaned on a frequent basis after every shoot.
