I just came from physical therapy with Ben Glider. He is excellent!! UOA does not mess around! Had a knee replacement about three weeks ago and I cannot say enough great things about UOA! I can't say enough about these guys! Dr Chiappetta did my 2nd cervical fusion four years ago and my 3rd just under three weeks ago. I was told I would never skate again and most likely would become disabled. I wouldn't accept that. It took ten years and 17 different doctors to find someone not just able to fix me but to do it in a way that made me stronger bot disabled and I will not be off the ice. He is an amazing doctor that did for me what supposed to be unattainable and for that I am forever greatful ! You would never guess that I now have a three level fusion. I have recommended them to anyone listening. Friends , students, coworkers and other specialists rave about their success. Surgical procedures or being set on the best path for recovery even if it was not within the practice. They take patient care to a new level with two facilities that put to shame the rest. More...

My first time here as a patient went smoothly. The Staff and doctor were friendly and my x ray was done in a timely fashion. My daughter was a 10 year patient of Dr Hosea. I was hit by a car and tore my ACL as a result I was recommended to see Dr. Gatt. From the first visit until after my surgery he was amazing. Great attitude, always professional, answered all my questions very throughly. What I liked the most is he was in no rush to do the surgery as some doctors are. He sent me to 2 rounds of physical therapy for 3 months then when that didn't work and surgery was the only option we went with that. Also during the whole process he was his caring professional self. The rest of the staff is also always very polite. So Thank you to everyone who has helped me through my injury/recovery thus far. There are not enough wonderful words for Dr. Stephen Kayiaros and the incredible staff at UOA.
I had an anterior hip replacement on Tues 6/20 and I feel great. Off pain meds by wed night. Off the walker and onto a cane by Friday .
This is one of the most personable , kind, informative doctors I have ever met. Everyone I have dealt with has been so on point and taken care of every aspect I could think of. I had my surgery upstairs at the University Center For Ambulatory Surgery. I arrived at 6:30 am and was home that day by 1:00pm. I could not have asked for a better place or staff - they were kind and caring and Dr. Kayiaros saw me before the surgery to ask if there were any questions and went right out to my husband after to explain that all had gone well. I was called by Lauren ( Dr. K's PA)and Joanne(the nurse who was taking care of me post surgery) just to make sure I was ok and to ask if I had any questions. My PT says I am doing great and I was out walking a 1/2 mile yesterday 3 1/2
Days after a hip replacement!!

What an amazing experience... I was so nervous going in for my anterior hip replacement. The nursing staff was spot on, was comforting, and so reassuring. I've been going to this group since 1982 and I couldn't ask for better. UOA is the only recommendation I will ever give to family and friends. I just had a total knee replacement and with Dr Kayiaros and the physical thepary staff I'm walking, driving, and pedaling a bike! (Well in one direction, but it's a start.) It's been 6 weeks. I had one of nicest experiences. From scheduling all the way through my total knee replacement. Dr. Harwood and his team are the most professional and efficient group I've seen. I went in at 7:30am Monday morning and was home at 3pm the same day with my new knee and I am up and walking that day.

I fell August 13, 2016 and fractured my Left humerus (upper arm) and the bone actually was severed. I had a rod and screws placed but the bone never went together. I was referred to Dr. Sagebien and he was fabulous. He did a bone graft in April 2017, and finally I have no pain and the bone continues to heal. Excellent throughout.
I found Dr, Gatt and his team knowledgeable and personable throughout our experience and noted all to be highly proficient in a service excellence manner.

Dr. C. Gatt did our daughters ACL and meniscus repair in November 2016, after a sports injury.

Dr. Gatt was highly recommended by a prior long term colleague of mine, also an Orthopedic Surgeon, who's managed our children's orthopedic needs over many years, but who did not specialize in ACL reconstructions, hence her referral elsewhere.

We found Dr. Gatt to have an excellent in office as well as bedside manner and team. He provided clear rationale of best practices and statistics to substantiate his assessment. The Anesthesiologist Dr. Sonbol as well had a wonderful bedside manner with my daughter and was excellent in explaining all to she as well as Mom at my long term Nurse level expertise and expectation level.
The only less than shinning star perception I recall, and she may just not be a smiley personality 1st thing in the morning, was the lady behind the side desk who did the pre op paperwork on the day of surgery. Her task performance was just fine completing the pre op check in paperwork, but the only one that stuck in my memory as no display of a visibly caring or friendly demeanor.

The doctor's assistant Marissa was lovely and answered and followed up timely all our needs in paperwork preparation. All the Nurses we had contact with; (some I recall names of) Jennifer Cook, Angela and Suzie and P.A. Christine all were wonderful in clinical skills, showing concern, anticipating and answering questions as well as following up with post op calls. Joann the recovery RN proficient and caring as well. Natalie, the doctors A.T./Assistant on 1st post op check, who removed Alyssa's sutures, very gentle and caring as well.

Overall, from our experience, my daughters care received and surgical outcome, I would highly recommend this practice as a service excellence team.

I had a total knee replacement January 2018. From the receptionist to the technicians and my doctor everything is first class. You can call your Doctor’s assistant any time and be sure to get an answer to your questions. They make you feel important. Dr Harwood did an excellent job on my knee.
