Welcome! My name is Trudy. I have been moving for much of my life and have a belief that movement can help the mind and body feel better. I believe in meeting my clients where they are at in their fitness journey. Whether you are dealing with an old or current injury, it's been a while since you have worked out, or maybe you are ready to start advancing the workouts you currently do, I am here to help you along on your journey.

I can not tell you how much I look forward to my stretch sessions with Trudy, especially during the Covid lock down. We stretch via Zoom and it works just fine for me. She is so knowledgeable and she has such a passion for her work. We have been training together now for 3-4 years. Feeling great! More...

Trudy is the best yoga teacher I have had the pleasure to learn from. She is an amazing instructor and coach, possessing an impressive amount of knowledge and insight. She knows where to push me and how to build upon my practice. We constantly work on developing strength, flexibility and awareness while never forgetting the fundamentals of breathing, alignment and mobility. TRUFORM Movement is the best. I have always been confident in my training to give me the movements I can handle without getting hurt. EVER!! My aches and pains disappear after a workout and I especially enjoy the stretches. They are so powerful and I feel so very limber afterwards. I highly recommend TRUFORM movement. I believe in listening to what my client's goals and needs while also keeping in mind how to get them to their goals. I adapt the movements as a way to meet a client where they are at. Add in a smart approach to teaching movements that address the entire body, and each session becomes a place to push, understand and explore each clients unique potential.

By believing that we deserve to have the body of our dreams. Personally, I know that feeling of wishing my body looked a certain way and never believing that it will happen. Or on the flip side, that the number on the scale will dictate exactly how I should feel about my body. I believe the true secret to getting the body of your dreams is by not focusing on the numbers on the scale, but rather focusing on the process. Understand that this is a lifelong practice of making our bodies feel great everyday!

I love the moments when a client shares how something in their daily lives has become easier. Maybe they feel like they can walk easier, or climb stairs without having to take a break. Maybe it is just a moment that they do something that they have avoided for a long time. Also another favorite, watching clients understand something about their own bodies and how to approach a certain movement that leads to a breakthrough. The thought that starts with "Are you crazy, I can't do that!" to "I am getting so close," all the way to "Wow! I can't believe I actually did it!" These breakthroughs are the most amazing moments of the work I do.

I believe in the process of learning. Knowing that nothing happens overnight, working with clients long term is something that keeps my passion for learning strong. I continue to deepen my personal movement practice as a way to continue to offer my clients a deeper understanding and a more specialized approach to helping their body move easier. Building trust and understanding of how an individual learns and what that individual prefers is my top priority as we work toward the goal.

I carry a passion for helping people. Whether you are learning something for the first time or working something you've done for years, I have the ability to offer expert instruction along the way. I believe that everyone is capable of more than they believe. I cultivate a space where you can ask questions and learn what feels best is your body, while improving core strength, balance and focus.

I am able to engage in many online platforms, so we can figure out the one that works best for you. I have been teaching online consistently throughout covid and have gained a good awareness of offering well received sessions via online services. I also work on FaceTime and GoogleDuo in addition to Zoom.

In-person training can be offered socially distanced at a park. Masks during session will be happily worn/supplied. Equipment will be cleaned and sanitized before we begin session. We can discuss any further safety protocols prior to scheduling a session.

Services

One-on-One private training that is tailored to your goals and your current fitness ability. This will include a warm-up, total body workout to leave your body feeling great, and stretching as a way to cool down.

I believe that in order to maintain a healthy body, we have to have mobile joints. Maybe you have back, hip or shoulder pain. I address these issues by teaching you how to gain Range of Motion in the body

Teaching beginners to advanced practitioners, I use my understanding of how the body moves to help you connect to your body and learn how to continue advancing your practice.

If you have an old injury or new, I specialize in restoring function to a body in pain. With a special awareness around what makes a body strong and stable, I teach exercises that help to rehab those nagging pains.

Strength and Stretch is a great way to understand my movement style. We learn about improving mobility while training the right muscles to support the movement we aim for.

It boggles my mind with how many people suffer from back pain. I realize the fear around moving while in pain, and help my clients eliminate back pain through corrective exercises and focusing on building core/glute strength.
