Dr. Thomas got us in very late in the night. We picked up our Poodle who had fleas everywhere!! There was no way we could take him home. The front staff understood when we called and got us in 30 mins before closing. We were not rushed by the doc or nurse. The staff is very sweet and accommodating. A what was supposed to be short visit turned into a lifetime veterinarian. Thank you Dr. Thomas (or Thompson). I’m sorry I don’t remember his name! More...

It's October 2018 and I can still say that I still love the personalized service at Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital. I recently took my cat Minnie for a teeth cleaning which I was scared to do. Dr Timnah Lee reassured me all would be ok. It's a week later and Minnie is doing great. Also want to say that when I came to pick her up the vet nurse thoroughly went through the procedure, how Minnie did and the aftercare. These people are pros and were born to do this . They are truly the best! More...

Reasonably clean.  Staff are mostly professional and vets are adequate.  I did not fear my pet would be mistreated or receive poor medical care.    But... they are very very expensive and their Vets strongly "encourage" (pressure) you to take every possible medical action on behalf of your pet with no regard to costs or sensitivity to your economic ability.  Make no mistake... the name "Hospital" notwithstanding, this is a profit seeking business entity which is hawking its services for profit.  Like funeral and nursing homes that prey upon your feelings and emotions to upsell their services.  "Cautionary" diagnostics, potential risks, annual shots, expensive testing, "saving" your pet, etc pay far more than a conservative stratagy.  In sum, Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital makes more when they convince you to spend more on your beloved pet than when you dont.    Oh, and beware their immediate suggestion/scheme: teeth cleaning.... Flashing red! (hint.. similar to brake pad replacement and transmission fluid changes at irreputable car service providers)... look it up on the internet. More...

I was so nervous about finding a vet that I liked in the city as I have been taking my 6 year old dog to the same Doctor that I knew very well since she was 6 weeks old. Dr. Lee and the staff were so great and not pushy at all. The exam fee was slightly more expensive than I am used to, but I'm willing to pay more for the best care for my dog. She addressed all my concerns and reviewed Orsa's medical records thoroughly (and there were a lot of them). Definitely returning to Dr. Lee for Orsa's care. More...

I have been using this clinic for about 15 years, through the lives of several of my cats. Their vets are always informative & helpful &, with my latest cat, a 9-year-old orange tabby, they pulled him through a really bad sickness that he had unfortunately come with, when I adopted him at the age of 8. I shall always be grateful for this Animal Hospital and its sister hospital in the West Village for taking care of my cats through the years. They care about animals and also have a good "bed side" manner with the pet's humans . This is especially comforting when dealing with emergencies, life threatening illness, or end of life care, all of which we experienced with our cat, Albert. When we moved from Tribeca to the West Village we were happy to find the sister hospital, West Village Vet. Hospital. Because the two hospitals share online records, we had a seamless transition for our pets. Albert was able to live a very long and comfortable life despite a variety of illnesses along the way, because of the care he received from these two veterinary hospitals. At the end, when he was 20+ and ailing, West Village was very caring and gentle with us all, helping us with the decision to euthanize him. They now take care of our 13 year old and we are very happy that they are there for us. More...

I have used Tribeca Soho Animal Hospital since the early 1970s. Four of my dogs have been treated primarily there over the years. My current dog, a 16+ year old poodle/terrier mix, has benefited in many ways at Tribeca. They discovered a heart murmur years ago, and he's been doing fine on medication since. Whatever problems my dogs have run into, I have known that I could count on the vets (and the staff) at Tribeca to work with professionalism, empathy and optimistic encouragement.

I would recommend Tribeca to any pet owner. Every doctor I've met there has been responsive and capable.

I've had experience with this veterinary practice for several years, bringing clients' dogs here for treatment, and can say they're a vet I'd use myself--for my animals--if I lived in the neighborhood. They're supportive and friendly, and importantly they're sympathetic and kind to the animals. Years ago, I was taking care of a couple of golden retrievers who were patients here, and I was dog-sitting while the animals' owners were on vacation. One of the dogs was still healing from a recent surgery and had to wear a cone. The vets were available when I had questions, and helpful when I needed assistance. The dog I currently take there is very skittish, and ready to leave at the drop of a hat when I bring her in. Notably, this dog has just relocated with her family to Brooklyn Heights, and they're still having her treated at this office. Well, one day last week I walked her over  the bridge and to this office--on Monday. She didn't have an appointment that day, but on Wednesday. So she got a cookie and got to leave--boy, was she relieved!I was happy I got to show her that sometimes when you go to the V.E.T., you just get a cookie! More...

With no records to refer to, the Vet called my old Vet to get a health background.  A new environment, and being sick, I was  nervous for Spirit. They did some exams and made numerous calls to me during Spirit's stay.  I appreciated the attention, and the inquires that was necessary to help with the diagnosis of Spirit's condition. My dog was very sick suddenly a few nights ago. We tried to bring her to our local vet but the doctor was on his way out and wouldn't take a minute to look at my poor dog. We cabbed over to this hospital and I am so glad we came. First of all we saved $90 on our first visit by checking in on yelp! This made such a difference because we had to do a ton of bloodwork on our dog and the bill came out to $300 dollars anyway. The doctor and nurses were so attentive with our dog and I felt that they really did care about her well being. The doctor told us she would call in the morning when the hospital opened at 11 with the blood results and at 11:01 I got a phone call. This was so appreciated because we really were worried sick and waiting by the phone. This will definitely be where I continue to treat my dog. More...

As a happy cat mama of three, my husband and I look for the best pet care. After moving back to NY, I was reluctant to leave our previous vet who provided excellent care. After searching, we found Dr. Holroyde, who attended the same ivy-league vet school as our last vet.We have one very difficult baby who likes to pee blood for unknown causes. Dr. Holroyde is extremely thorough and accommodating. She even calls to check in our babies when they're not well. It's worth the additional cost to go to a vet that cares. We were early and they saw us right away. The tech was sweet as pie and a real animal lover. We saw Dr. Koprowski and she gave our pup a thorough exam and treatment plan. EMERGENCY!!!!  Our Frenchie puppy suffered a spine injury that left her legs partially paralyzed!  After freaking-the-F-out for a few minutes, I took her to Tribeca Soho since it was closer than my usual vet at West Village Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Alexandra Koprowski treated Ollie and was just great.  She answered all my questions, eased my fears and reassured me that Ollie would be okay.  I like her approach because she gets right to the point without sugar coating it for me.  She went over the Xrays in detail and even had a specialist look at them to be safe.  All in all, great experience, knowledgeable staff and most importantly, Ollie is doing very well.  She regained full mobility of her legs after about 10 days without any residual side effects.  Thanks, Doc! After a less than pleasant experience at a different vet's office that had come highly recommended, I was nervous taking my cat,  Maggie, to the vet again. But, it came time to get Maggie her shots, so I tried to find a vet that was a bit closer to home. I was very impressed with the overall operation, although it definitely stung in the pocketbook. Dr. Lee was the best part. She took a genuine interest in Maggie, and although Maggie was hesitant at first (She hissed at the Dr. which she never does!), Dr. Lee laughed it off and won Maggie over quickly. Dr. Lee seemed genuinly concerned and interested in Maggie's health and I can say with certainty that she is the only veterinarian that has ever shown any interest at all. She was great with her, so much so that I am no longer nervous to take Maggie back next time. Beyond being great with the pets, she actually gave me really helpful information about getting her weight down and answered my incessant questions about the same topic. I think all you need to know about this place can be summed up with the Vets' interactions with pets and their owners in the waiting room. Dr. Lee knew each pet by name and asked questions of the owners relating to previous visits. You would never expect such personalized service from an office that probably has hundreds of clients every month. This is the type of service I expect of a small town vet office, not one in the middle of NYC. For this reason alone, I am happy to pay a little bit extra for the personalized service that clients here receive. My one complaint is that although there was a sign saying that all dogs must be leashed, there was at least 1 dog who was not that kept coming up and sniffing the cat carrier. My poor cat was not prepared for that. I think that rule needs to be enforced, and fellow clients need to be more sensitive that theirs is not the only pet in the office. More...
