What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
If a client is comfortable, happy, and enjoying themselves, the photograph will reflect that. I believe that is true regardless if the client is a pregnant mama, a newborn baby, a corporate client, or a toddler. I strive to provide a comfortable, enjoyable environment regardless of the client I am photographing.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I ask them what their vision is, what they expect from a photographer, and I am clear about what I expect from a client as well. Styling a session is very important to me, so I also ask about a client's home decor, style preferences, and color scheme.
What do you love most about your job?
Babies! From snuggling a tiny newborn to playing with an adorable one year old, I love them all. Capturing that perfect smile or moment between a mama and baby is magical.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I always loved photographing my own children, but never felt as though I took great photos when they were little. I wanted all mamas to be able to have photos to cherish of their babies since they grow and change so fast.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have been a pediatric nurse for over 25 years. I know how to keep babies safe, happy and comfortable. Safety is super important to me, especially with those tiny newborns!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I always sanitize all surfaces and launder all fabrics used between sessions. I wear a mask upon request for all newborn sessions. If myself or anyone in my household is ill, I will reschedule a session.
Newborn Photography
In studio newborn photo session. Newborn is kept comfortable and safe throughout session while carefully and expertly posed by Jami. Customized styling of session done with client preferences in mind. Sibling/parent add ons available.
Maternity Photography
Capturing the changing mama's body in the magic of pregnancy. Mama is ideally photographed between 27-34 weeks gestation. Session is done in studio or at an outdoor location.
1st Birthday/Cake Smash
In studio session for babies around their first birthday. Includes portraits on a solid backdrop as well as a birthday or themed backdrop. Cake is provided for cake smash portion, and then a splash bath is done in a baby tub.
Children's Portraits
In studio or on location sessions done to celebrate milestones in a child's life - sitting up, birthdays (other than 1st birthday), baptism, preschool graduation, or any other time you want priceless portraits of your little one.
