I was very fortunate to find Therapy Cypress. The therapist endeavored to make sure there was a fit with what I was looking for, not just to get me in as a client. My experience was great! I felt there was no pressure while in session and was allowed to respond in a way I felt comfortable but still answering any questions asked. My 15 year old niece was going through some rough times. I found Mindy and hoped she might be able to help. My niece found her easy to talk to. I believe that the time she spent with Mindy gave her a safe place to talk about some very important issues. I felt more comfortable knowing I had a professional in my corner to help me know what my niece needed. Mindy is very professional and cares deeply for her clients. Mindy has been working with my daughter for several months now and has been amazing. She is wonderful with teens and has been a vital resource for my daughter. She communicates well with me and I’m confident that while their sessions are confidential, she keeps the lines open between everyone as needed. I've been going to see Mindy for years and words can't express how much she's helped me. She offers practical advice and encouragement based in research as well as in her own lived experience. She's not a "how does that make you feel?" therapist – she takes a down-to-earth, "what can we do differently to bring about the change you want?" approach. Truthful without being judgmental, she has a remarkable ability to hold you accountable for the work you need to do without nagging or badgering. One of the best things about Mindy is seeing how she holds herself to the standards she sets for her clients – she "practices what she preaches" and is a great role model for those of us struggling to enact positive change in our lives.
