Rob and Holly are two of the most personable and honest business owners I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with here in savannah GA. Coming from California where the gyms are two stories tall and average about 40,000 sq ft...it was hard for me to find a gym out here where I actually felt at home. Was hesitant about going to zoo at first. Then was convinced by a friend. The pricing is dirt cheap and the equipment is the highest quality. Equipment is kept clean, locker rooms as well...and even the parking lot is kept up with and large enough to not have a panic attack trying to find a spot. The owners also slept in the gym during the hurricane to ensure the place was okay and opened the gym up the next morning at 0800. Pretty certain that their gym was the ONLY gym still open during a mandatory evacuation. I respect the hell out of that. So I rate this gym 5 stars. I will continue to train here for as long as I’m in Savannah and will train here when I visit once I leave. I wouldn’t listen to the 1 star reviews because for the reasons they listed...that’s worthy of maybe 3 stars. I don’t understand how you give one star to the largest gym in savannah. Like the size of the gym and equipment along gets the gym 3-4 stars. The customer service is the fifth star. So yeah I’m taking the 1 star reviews with a grain of salt. Ron and Holly keep killing it. Best gym in the whole area (including hinesville)! No one can even compete with them. Everything is clean and up to date. The machines where well chosen too if I compare them to other gyms . This gym really cares about you and your workout! The staff is great and very friendly too. They always helped me with everything and made nothing an issue even when I had to cancel because of moving. I still stop by when I’m in town because I love the whole vibe this gym has. Zoo has everything you need such as; free weights, bumper plates, cable machines, cardio equipment with Netflix, Hulu, espn and more, tanning beds, day care and much more. I was a little nervous to start attending this gym because it does have a little bit of a corporate vibe compared to the gym I had been going to (as well as hearing some negative things about the gym/owner). After attending for a few weeks, my boyfriend and I got memberships and his best friend started his membership as well. My fears of this not feeling as personal or as family-like could not be further from the truth. The things I heard about this gym were also lies. This gym is run extraordinarily well, and the owners are clearly passionate about managing a place for everyone to feel welcome. They even stayed open during the hurricane, and opened their doors to members of gyms that were closed. They have great equipment that I've never witnessed "Out of Order", their bathroom stall doors shut (LOL), and the space is always very clean. Their members are passionate people as well, and there's a great community here. If you've heard good things about this place, there's a reason. And if you've heard not-so good things about it, there's a reason for that too..."Remember, people only rain on your parade because they’re jealous of your sun and tired of their shade.” Very much so recommend!! This is the best gym in Savannah. It was open during the hurricane except for one day where the winds were too great. They have every area you need, regardless of your fitness style. Daycare, 24 hr access for members only, tanning booths, spin room, workout room with mirrors, several squat racks, machines, cardio equipment, even battle ropes and TRX area. This gym operates a successful business, slowly adding more equipment to fit their users needs as time goes on. Some people have given poor reviews because they would not let people use their gym for free when other gyms were closed, despite only charging a $10 fee for a day pass--a very competitive rate. I got my membership to this gym before they even opened to the public. I certainly appreciate their stance on charging non-member gym goers a fee, as they are higher risk than the current members who respect the gym and its equipment. Be sure to check it out!!! More...

5 stars all the way! It starts with the location, easy to get to and plenty of parking. The awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the trainers here, they are eager to help and will to take time with you. Also they understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there and further, while having fun. The classes are intense for every level athlete, and you will love the diverse workouts. Beginners are always welcomed and encouraged by staff and members. Zoo Health Club is the only gym in the area to offer Les Mills classes (BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyStep, Les Mills Barre)! Zumba, yoga, core, and cycling are offered as well! The Instructors are so lively and make working out fun! They offer great rates whether you live in the area or are just in town for business or leisure. It’s a clean facility with beautiful new up to date equipment. They offer childcare while you workout and the staff are caring and kind. There are toys, coloring materials, tv and more to keep your kids entertained. Tanning is conveniently offered as well.
