We have used this service several times since moving to this area and have always been very pleased with how well they care for our little furball (a cat). The first time we used them, Christy came over to our apartment to write down all the details of his care, where all our supplies were, and meet him herself. Each time we've scheduled a service, they have sent us an email showing when they would come every day, and send a short visit summary every day that they come, complete with picture. It puts us at ease knowing our sweet floofer has such excellent caretakers while we're away. Christy is always very prompt in responding to emails and approving service requests. We couldn't ask for a better walker for our collie, Ronan! He has really bonded with Gennah and Christy, and I always feel easier when we leave in the morning knowing that one of them will check on Ronan during the day. He can be nervous sometimes when he's outside if there are trucks or loud noises, and they've been great about taking him for a quick potty break and then playing with him inside where he's more comfortable. Ronan has also started having occasional seizures recently, and it made me feel immensely easier to know that if he were to have one when Gennah or Christy come over, they'd be right there at his side comforting him. Christy and her team are wonderful! She has always been very responsive when I've emailed and able to accommodate changes and additions to our walk schedule. We started using a dog walker when our senior dog was no longer able to make it through the work day without a walk. Christy and our assigned walkers, Gennah and Tatiana, are so kind and caring with our old guy. We love the pictures and email updates after each walk. Love the service provided by the entire staff at The Unleashed Pet. My husband and I were terribly spoiled because one of my bothers was single, lived close by and was able to come stay with our cats for many years when we took trips. We trusted him and various sets of cats loved him. He developed health issues which precluded his being able to leave his home. I, particularly, was very stressed about finding anyone to take his place. We talked to several pet sitters and decided to go with Christy and her staff. It was wonderful - to be able to see pictures of our 'boys' twice a day, looking happy, was great. Our first trip using TUP in September 2019 was only 4 days, but it went so smoothly that when we planned a 10 day trip this past February we knew who to call. Knowing the cats were well cared for, someone walked through and made sure things in the house were OK, the mail was brought in and getting the pictures twice a day made all the difference. Will be happy to use their services again and recommend them highly. I've attached two of the actual photos sent us while we were away in February. The big spotty guy is 'Bear' and his house mate is 'Charlie'. We so looked forward to seeing the pictures twice a day...very reassuring. More...

Christy and her amazing team do so much more than pet sit my 2 kitties, they provide me a much needed peace of mind when I have to be away from my kitties. Â When I'm out of town, I eagerly wait for the daily emails I receive from Christy's team along with the photos, that ensure that all is well with my furballs. Â When I'm in town, Christy's wonderful husband, Eddie, provides the extra support I need to keep my elderly cat healthy. After a horrible experience with a pet sitter, we found The Unleashed Pet. Everything about Christy and her stuff is extremely professional. The attention to detail and care for our dogs has been fantastic! After every visit, we get an email that tells us how the dogs are doing and what happened during the visit along with some photos. I cannot recommend them enough. They are, hands down, the best dog walking service in eastern Fairfax Cty and Alexandria. The employees are polite, friendly and wonderful with my dog . My pup is EXHAUSTED at the end of his 30 minute walk--which is the whole point of it. They always follow the rules (which I can't say for other dog walking services.) They send me emails with a photo after the walk. I call them PROOF OF LIFE receipts. They crack me up every time and, you know...it's a boost when you're trapped at work and realize that you don't have to worry about your pet. They've never let me down and have helped me when I've been delayed back from a trip or work has unexpectedly sent me out of town. What inspired you to start your own business?
I received poor pet sitting. Person hired didn't show up for more than 24 hours! I knew I could do better and be transparent with clients we care for.
