I've been bringing my Doberman to the Pooped Puppy since she was about 6 or 7 months old. When our work schedules get crazy at home it gives me a tremendous amount of peace of mind that I can take her to daycare. My dog absolutely loves coming here. I am very happy to have found The Pooped Puppy. We adopted a puppy who was timid and feared other dogs. After being worked with by the staff, she is now a dog lover and always wants to play with others. As soon as we arrive, my dog is excited and wants to run in, so I know she loves it. I can't recommend The Pooped Puppy enough!!! Mike and Natalie (the owners) have really been great with my dog. I initially came to the Pooped Puppy when first adopted my rescued coonhound four years ago. He had MAJOR separation anxiety, didn't know how to interact with other dogs and didn't understand play. With the help of Mike and Natalie, Murphy went from a dog that sat all by himself all day to one that interacts with the other dogs and actually plays and has a best buddy! He LOVES going to daycare! I had NEVER boarded a dog at a facility. I always had family take care of him, but I was attending a wedding and, literally everyone that I trusted with him was going to the wedding. Keep in mind, this is a dog that has separation anxiety due to being abandoned. I boarded him at The Pooped Puppy and he did awesome. The Pooped Puppy is truly a second home and a safe place to Murphy, so leaving him with the staff at The Pooped Puppy is no bid deal to him. I've also trained with The Pooped Puppy. If you know anything about hounds, they are unbelievably stubborn. As a former hunting dog that never spent time as a family dog, we had to break all of the previous training and start from scratch. It was not easy, but working with Mike and Natalie and their staff, I now have a very well behaved and disciplined dog! A couple of other things about the business that attracted me to The Pooped Puppy:- Locally-owned small business- Veteran-owned (both Mike and Natalie are Navy veterans & David the manager is former Army). A big plus for this Navy brat!- Very competitive prices.- Very responsive- Great customer service- FlexibleMy dog is my kid. I am a grandmother to a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier named Cali. Cali and her mom moved from Pennsylvania last August to sunny San Diego. I urged my daughter to find a good daycare for Cali because she needed to be active. Cali had ACL surgery last May. The last daycare Cali went to never informed us that Cali was injured. How we found out was when my daughter picked her up after being boarded for 3 days. As soon as they handed my daughter the leash, Cali could barely walk. After a trip to the vet, Cali blew her right ACL. We don't blame the daycare that Cali blew her ACL, it was the lack of communication between business and owner. Since then, my daughter swore off she will never use a doggy daycare again!! Cali stayed at home sharing space with 3 elderly dogs. She wasn't active and we can clearly see she was unhappy in her environment. Either we find other ways to stimulate her, or she stays home living an inactive lifestyle. Cali eventually recovered from her ACL injury. My daughter's boss suggested The Pooped Puppy day care. My daughter still feeling traumatized from her previous experience, I told her that Cali deserves to be around a pack environment since she's a social butterfly and that she will get the exercise she needs. My daughter reluctantly gave in and Cali was off to daycare. She had to first pass a temperament test. I can understand why they have these tests. It is to see that they are not accepting red zone dog. It's to protect the other dogs and staff. Cali passed the test!! Cali has been going to daycare for 2 weeks now. She is a happy pup and is loved by the staff. On rainy days, all dogs remain inside. Unfortunately Cali isn't able to play on the hard floors because of her ACL injury. The owner took her out himself and walked her around so she wouldn't be so sad, and had taken a few of members of the pack to hangout with Cali in the kennel. That's going above and beyond!!! Thank you Pooped Puppy for taking care of our pup! You fur-ever have our business and trust!!Cali comes home tired! She eats her dinner and passes out! As you can see, we have one pooped puppy!!! My dog and I love this place! If you need boarding, training, daycare or grooming, definitely go there! My dog had social anxiety and didn't like meeting new people. After one training session, she is much more comfortable and can meet new people. I also take her twice a week to daycare and she comes home tired and happy. Wonderful family-owned dog care. My dog stayed 5 days including overnight..first time...and all was well when we picked her up. Good news for me as this was the first time she was left behind while I traveled. Natalie was so kind and supportive when I called to see how she was doing. This place is great. I was on a business trip and wanted to bring my dog so I can take him to the beach when I’m done with work but had no where to leave him during the day while I was working. I found The Pooped Puppy and I couldn’t be happier. Brittany was absolutely amazing with caring for my pup and she very much put my mind at ease knowing my pup would be well taken care off.
