I've been here three times so far to use their pool for private swim. Each experience has been nothing short of awesome! The pool area is always clean, they have toys and life jackets. This review is based on my personal experience with the Paw as of January 2019. If you knew me personally you'd know that my dog lives better than I do. I give her the best of everything. I did thorough research when looking for a place to send my dog for daycare once a week. There are some other good places in the area, and to be honest the reviews on here for the Paw scared me. But I know the two dog trainers that work there and thought I'd give it a shot. That was over 3 months ago. Every day I am happier and happier with the Paw. Now I take my pup there for daycare, training, swimming, and free play on Sundays. Every time I walk in there they know my dog by name. I have interacted with many of the workers there. Kayla, Amy and Angel are awesome, just to name a few. Finally, the owner Tom, is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I first met him at their Surf & Turf event, when I thought he was just another customer. After seeing him there a few times I introduced myself. Right away he was kind and gracious. He even taught my dog how to be comfortable in the water in less than an hour. I always look forward to seeing him there, and I am confident that I can trust whoever he hires with my dog (who is literally the most sentimentally valuable being in my life). The Paw Mankato is the BEST! From their super caring staff members to the excellent facility with ALL the extras, this is our pup's FAVE place to go! The daycare services are great with tons of play time and exercise for your dog. They also have a pool which is available as an add-on for daycare and boarding as well as open swim time on Sundays. I bring my pup to The Paw and she loves it! Daycare never fails to tire Thora out and buy me a couple hours of relaxation in the evening. Not to mention the friendly staff (whom Thora loves), who are knowledgeable and genuine when it comes to caring for my 4 month old puppy. Oh yeah, did i mention they have a pool? We love The Paw and so does our 2 year old golden retriever Cooper! We just did the dock jumping lessons and by the end Cooper was getting more and more confident going off the dock! The instructor was so helpful, and informative, we thoroughly enjoyed it! My pitty baby “Chew” has been going to The Paw daycare since he was 8weeks... we had to stop coming for a few months so that he could get neutered. .. however when he was ready to return they was super nice about taking my baby back.... i had a major surgery and put Chew in boarding with daycare... i was extremely nervous and having separation anxiety... however they was extremely nice and patient with my very spoiled hyper baby.... i checked the cams often and each time he was enjoying himself.... they even found him moving his bed funny instead of annoying... they even understood his food... i will say they are worth the month... OMFG!!! This place is like valleyfair for dogs!! They do daycare and boarding, yeah, BUT (!!!!) they also have an indoor pool with open swim times on the weekends! !! Super cheap to take your dog for a swim, and they also have their indoor and outdoor play areas open those times - so you can really wear your dog out in the winter!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Tom at the PAW is awesome and beyond helpful. My dog Jax knows nothing about swimming and is not a fan of it. I wanted to take him to their open swimming to see if he'd warm up to the idea of it since he would be around other dogs jumping in the pool and what not. Still wouldn't get in. Tom took the time to teach me some pointers and show me the starting ropes and before we left he swam a full lap without trying to get out of the pool. I took my 11 week old yellow Labrador Retriever to the Paw’s Beginning Swimming Class. At first, I was really nervous to take him because he was such a young puppy.
