Do what you will with this information, this is purely my experience. I called in and booked a "Bath & Brush out" for my British short hair. On the phone, the price was 35. At arrival the price was still 35$. I left my cat at noon and received a phone call 30 minutes later. During the phone call, there was no mention of anything but " your cat is ready to be picked up"When I arrived on site, I was informed they bathed my cat, but didn't dry him because he escaped. So I'm thinking fine, sure that's nothing, I'll dry the rest of him off when I'm back home. Come to find out, when I opened my cats traveling bag at home, he was completely soaked and still very very wet! He was literally shivering. Now I didn't open and check at the location because there were other pets barking and meowing; so I didn't want to freak him out more. The weather was not warm at all and luckily I lived close enough to home where I can dry my cat off fast. But to think that this information was never mentioned during the phone call. Makes me believe they did not care nor were they professional enough.Also to mention, they had increased the price from 35-45$. Now I'm not going to hassle over 10 bucks but the unprofessionalism from this place is upsetting. I do not care for a 10$ refund or even a full refund. I will never recommend for a cat grooming or step foot at this location again. More...

I love how kind the people who work here are! It's a clean, fresh place with the friendliest people who greet the dogs like old friends. But I especially love how excited our dog is when we park the car - he's so happy to get inside and play that I know they're doing something right! More...

Our dog has been to a few daycares, and the Downtown Paw is by far his favorite. He cannot wait to get into the space in the morning, and when the afternoon rolls around, he emerges not anxious or overwhelmed; rather, he's happy and TIRED.We recently had him groomed by the staff, and he's never looked better.The staff here are friendly, communicative, and make strong bonds with the dogs. We just moved to downtown Malden, and wanted to give our older shi-poo a chance to socialize with other dogs, so we gave The Downtown Paw a try. This small business is run by dog lovers skilled to evaluate and make an enjoyable atmosphere for your pooch. In fact, when we walk past it, he's always dragging us to come in. What inspired you to start your own business?
The Downtown Paw was started with our owner's dog in mind. Kate wanted to create a daycare for her dog Fields, an English Setter, that would allow her to use her natural abilities as a sporting dog. After having worked at different daycares while she was in college, she decided to create one of her own.
Unlike most dog daycares where your dog is in free play from the moment they get there until the moment they get picked up, we can structure your dogs day to make sure they get a chance to work out both their mental and physical health. Dogs need more than just a good run to be at their best, and that's what we strive for with our daycare programs. We use puzzle mats, training tricks, agility components, along with play with other dogs to keep their day busy, and never the same as the day before. By having a structured daycare day, instead of a day full of only free play, the dogs are able to learn new behaviors, curb bad habits, exercise their natural abilities, and be their best selves.
Just like you, we want to be able to check in on our dogs when we're not with them to make sure their getting the love and attention we know they deserve. We're always happy to communicate through text, calls, or emails if you want to check in on them, or you just want a picture of your furry best friend. We post throughout the day to our Facebook & Instagram stories of the dogs playing!

Daycare is available for half days (less than 5 hours), full days (over 5 hours), or 2-hour play sessions.

Treats, toys, leashes, harness, collars and more! Ask about customization for bandanas, t shirts for the humans, and custom-made collars and leashes.
