This was a lively bar for golfers and the public. Hard to get into for happy hour but they did the best to accommodate. Prime rib night was excellent. Now the new ownership/ management has converted it to a "WINE DESTINATION" and they close at 6:00. There's not a lot of golfers (especially men) that go for a glass of wine after golf. What a fantastic restaurant located on a beautiful golf course. We were blown away by how nice the interior of the restaurant was, very elegant. White tablecloths which I did not expect from a golf course based restaurant. They have a great outdoor patio overlooking the area. Beautiful.! The food was great, I had the chicken sandwich which was probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had at a golf course restaurant. The lady went with the seafood Louie salad which had shrimp and lobster with a nice Russian dressing. We ordered a French Chardonnay with our lunch which was only $10 a glass. What a bargain. My wife and I ate here during our January 2024 trip to Palm Desert. We have eaten here before and were excited to come back. This time, however, the food was not as good. My wife started with a Caesar salad. This was not fresh. I had a Bellatrix salad which was fresh and I enjoyed it. For her main course my wife had a half rack of lamb. The lamb was cooked ok but was lacking in spices so it tasted bland. I had the braised short rib. The portion was generous and came with a mushroom sauce, spinach and mashed potatoes. I thought this was good, although again under flavored. My food came out warm but not hot. We had a very attentive server. I held a celebration of life in the Phoenix room. It was a private room with an Amazing view of mountains, waterfalls, and the golf course. There were 30 if us. I was originally going to have it elsewhere but that venue turned out to be a disaster so I had to VERY quickly find another place. And I was not local! I called Elena who handled the events at Classic Club. She instantly worked on putting this together. She was so easy to communicate with. I kept changing things on her and asking her to give me millions of options. She just stayed calm and so KIND when I was so stressed. She QUICKLY got me everything I asked for and went above and beyond with making the tables BEAUTIFUL, making sure my guests were happy, I could go on and on. Too many things to list. Thank you Elena. Great experience all around. Beautifully decorated restaurant with a deck overlooking the gorgeous golf course. We have been here several times this spring for dinner and lunch. The food was well prepared. My favorite is the salmon salad. The waitstaff is attentive but not intrusive. We recommend valet parking if you don't want to walk up a hill. We stopped in with another couple for dinner last night. Everything went without a hitch, except for that "Charcuterie Board" that came out on a dinner plate that was half filled. The cheeses were good but the meats were less than desirable and they charged $24. Unless they up their game with presentation or quality, that menu item needs to be 86'D.A definite ripoff. Went here for dinner last night before a concert at the adjacent Acrisure Arena. The food was great. Service was outstanding and ambiance is beautiful! My husband and I had the jumbo cocktail shrimp for appetizers along with the best Old Fashion I have had! We split the Bellatrix House Salad which had the most delicious vinergarette dressing. For our entrees we had the 7 ounce filet mignon which was cooked to our liking, medium. It came with roasted fingerling potatoes and asparagus. We both had good Pinot Noir glasses of wine with our dinner and finished off with their lava cake and coffee! One of the best dinners we have had! I really enjoyed my 19th hole at Bellatrix after a fun 18 holes at the Classic Club. I ordered 3 small plates - beet salad, 3x tuna and wonton tacos, 3x short rib tacos, plus a half baked macadamia cookie for dessert. All were very tasty and a great deal.
