I used to live in the Pearl and would frequent this restaurant during happy hour. It's a light menu with several yummy options. The restaurant itself isn't much to see. Â Nothing bad, just your average space. They do have some outdoor seating but it may be available during covid. Anyway, for my most recent visit, I decided to place a to go order from their website of chicken Tom Kha soup - medium spice and some sticky rice. Â I ordered the large "family" size bowl, which is $14.99. Â Their website is really easy to use and order from. Once I placed my order, I was given a pick up time, which was within 20 minutes. Once I arrived, my food was waiting for me at the front counter. Super quick. My soup was absolutely delicious. The flavors and the texture of the chicken were both perfect. I really dislike when bad pieces of fatty chicken are used, which was not the case here. My only complaint would be that the soup was super thick. I actually watered it down a bit, but no biggie. I am glad I got to try one of the many many good Thai restaurants in Portland. Staff was friendly and quick. Not going to get huge awards for exotic taste and texture but for a tourist like me it was excelente and it didn't break the wallet.

Food was bland, no spice. Ordered massaman chicken (3-star spicy). Garlic pork with medium spicy. I didn't want to order esan spicy--maybe I should have. Couldn't taste any garlic in garlic pork. The Tom Kha soup here is literally my favorite dish of any restaraunt anywhere. It's shi delicious it's a must try. Duck curry is amazing too.Highly recommended

The food was... OK. Not particularly good not disgusting. But God was it overpriced, and I got it for a stay at home movie date thinking it'd be quick right? Nyoope! It took so long I had to slcall my date and explain where I was. I came like thirty minutes early just to grab the food.Idk if there was a new chef or something but I truly don't get the hype about this place. I love Thai Bloom!!!! Anytime anyone asks for a restaurant recommendation, this is definitely in my top 5. The staff is so kind and helpful. I have tried many of the dishes off of the menu and have never been disappointed. I recently ordered on their app and they forgot to put my drink with my order when I came to pick it up. We normally go in search for Duck, however we were distracted my the Winter Specials.OMG, the Bangkok Noodles are to die for! The smoky glaze on the wide noodles is amazing.We must return soon before the menu changes.We also had the Pumpkin Curry with Beef. Ordered on New Year's Eve 2021. Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because it's a holiday but we ordered our food at 5 pm for a 715 delivery and it was truly awful. The crab puffs were soggy and chewy. The curry was the only thing that resembled Thai food and despite ordering spicy plus had zero spice. The crab pad Thai had zero crab in it and while being spicy was somehow flavorless. If you're looking for Thai food, look elsewhere. I have eaten in Thailand every year and am very picky about Thai food. My children asked for Thai food and I was very leery about Thai food in America. For some reason many Thai restaurants cook their dishes too sweet. Probably catering to the western palate. Thai Bloom falls into the same category. Every dish we ordered was cooked too sweet. Still five stars, even through this COVID pandemic. We go for curbside pickup so often the person who answers the phone recognizes my husband's voice and knows the color and make of his truck when he pulls into the parking lot! !!Excellent food. Never had a dish that wasn't wonderful. Well, except once when we ordered the duck salad. We came here for lunch on a rainy grey day, and it's exactly what we needed. We started with papaya salad and tom kha gai, then we shared eggplant stir-fry, drunken noodles, and panang curry. The flavors were on point; the portions were very generous (really dinner size in other places); and the price was very reasonable. We couldn't finish the food and brought some home. Just moved here from Chicago where I grade a Thai restaurant on their Pad Thai alone. Â Ordered delivery so can't say anything about the restaurant itself. I didn't care for the food. I requested medium spicy Pad Thai with prawns. The "prawns" were simply small shrimps. It wasn't the least bit spicy and like another reviewer said, tasted like it was a week old. Visited Thai Bloom on another business trip to Portland with a colleague and we over ordered on a delicious dinner. Ordered the fresh spring rolls with an excellent flavorful peanut sauce, pad Thai with prawns, ground chicken with ginger and prawns with green beans. All the different dishes were delicious on their own and they were very generous portions. We both felt guilty for leaving behind at least half of each dish, but it was way too much food for two people. The service was excellent, the waiter checked back with us server times during the meal. Went here when they first opened enjoyed it then. But recently placed an order Togo after many years and was really disappointed. Ordered the pineapple fried rice and the rad nah. The rad nah gravy was bland no spice even after asking for spicy. As for the pineapple fried rice it was more of turmeric rice with chili flakes on top. There was no egg, not enough raisins or pineapple. I asked got shrimp to it but there was only 1 piece. For fried rice it was not a fried rice. Very disappointing.
