I can not say enough GREAT things about Carla and TRH!! As a previous vet tech and pet sitter for most of my life I can be quite "detailed" :p Carla took the time during the meet and greet (which has automated text reminders for the appointment), asked the right questions, has the training and expertise to make my pets feel safe and secure! She did drop ins while I was gone this past weekend and she cared for my dog cat, barn cat, and young chicken as if they were her own. For over 10 years, not one time have we EVER… and let me repeat this to be very clear… EVER found a Pet Sitter who gave us absolute confidence until we had Carla and Sasha sit for our two German Shepherds. Carla was amazing in helping organize the effort and was very thorough in understanding our (very specific) needs since our boys are a little along the ways in age. Sasha did all day/over night stays and did a fantastic job helping our pups feel comfortable and well cared for while she was here. She was consistent with their walks, feeding, and making sure they had water at all times. She played with them and kept them engaged, which is important since one of our boys has a little bit of separation anxiety and isolates himself when we’re away. She kept us updated and sent pictures consistently over the span of the several days we were away. And each time we saw their pictures, they had little smiles on their faces which let us know they were in great hands. Lastly, Carla and Sasha also went above and beyond for us in many ways… But among all of the amazing things they did for us, we wound up being delayed getting back home. Carla was able to have Sasha stay behind for a little while longer beyond our original commitment, which was a life saver. And me, being a person who appreciates the details of things, they didn’t nickel and dime us for having to extend the stay a half a day longer. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend Carla, Sasha, and Texas Ruff House for your pet sitting and walking needs. My wife and I can finally take the occasional time away from our boys once and for all with peace of mind and confidence knowing our boys are in the best hands possible when we are away now. I really love Carla and Texas Ruff House. She was highly recommended by people in a large Facebook group and after hearing all the great compliments on her I knew that was where I wanted to take my doggie Risa! She absolutely loves going to see miss Carla and has stayed for 8 days at a time on a couple of occasions. She always is so well cared for and completely exhausted from the fun she has. She also goes over for doggie day care as I do not have a fenced yard where she can run and she loves playing with her friends she makes there. We moved to Austin in July and normally when we go out of town we have family watch our dogs when we leave for a couple of days. We tried using the rover App, but we just didn’t feel like we were getting the service for the amount of money we were paying. After meeting Carla and learning more about Texas Ruff House and her matching me with one of her sitters that lived near me it felt like a perfect fit. So far Gina has watched our dogs twice and she is amazing. Giving us constant updates on how the dogs are doing with pictures. Carla with TRH has made it so easy for us to travel without our beloved first ever dog Ruby. The idea of leaving her in a kennel when she is accustomed to the run of the house didn’t sit well with any of us. We were even nervous about using a dog sitter but we’ve known Carla for years and completely trusted her so when our first trip came up we got on the TRH schedule. I was still a little anxious but once the daily pics, videos, and updates started coming in by text we all exhaled and enjoyed our trip to Disney knowing Ruby was happy, healthy, and getting all of the attention that she needed (possibly more!). Pics don’t lie and you can see how happy your puppy is. Below you can see some of our pics sent by Carla while we were on different trips—she has such a great eye! Using TRH is a total no-brainer for us now. Carla is hands down the very best in the business and we consider ourselves fortunate to be among her clientele. Carla is also the embodiment of professionalism and remains calm under pressure. Security alarm mishaps on more than one occasion didn’t keep her from getting the job done. The first thing we do when planning a trip now is to make sure Carla and TRH are available. You really can’t get better care for your furry family member(s) and the amazing photos and videos instantly put you at ease. Texas Ruff House exceeded my expectations! I had never left my newly adopted dog with anyone before so I was a little nervous. I was given updates on how she was doing and even pictures everyday!
