Wow! At the very last minute, I decided to host a 50th birthday party for my wife for a small group of close friends at the house and looked for a chef to come prepare everything in our kitchen for various dietary reasons (organic, kosher, vegetarian, etc. ). I had never arranged for something like that in the past, and I was very nervous about things turning out right.  The small group soon morphed into 23 guests. No matter, in under a week's time, Tara worked out a diverse menu (making suggestions and incorporating requests)  that included multiple passed appetizers, multiple main courses, and delicious dessert.  She arrived at our home 2 hours before party time with a cooler filled with everything she needed (having taken into account all of our particular dietary requests), she and her assistants could not have been more pleasant as they were preparing (and I was nudging them with questions) and serving, the food was outstanding, and the reaction from our guests was to the moon. And, Tara left behind a spotless kitchen. If you are thinking of having a dinner in your home for a small group or large group, but uncertain about how to go about it, believe me, just call Tara -- you will be so thankful that you did. Tara catered an important birthday dinner for my mother-in-law and it was a night we'll never forget! From the very beginning she was flexible with our weird restrictions (gluten free, nut free and pescatarian) and gave us several creative options to choose from. We all raved about every course. The salad was bright and fresh, the appetizer (octopus) was perfectly cooked when so often restaurants overcook it, the main dish was so flavorful and the flourless chocolate cake was sinfully delicious. There were 9 adults and one toddler and everyone left so happy.Tara and Kelley were so sweet throughout the whole afternoon. Talking us through the process, explaining the courses and then left the kitchen spotless. I would highly recommend them for any special dinner (or even just a night you don't feel like cooking!) Tara catered my baby shower and she was great to work with. She came up with a creative menu, taking into account my likes and dislikes (which as a heavily pregnant woman were many).  She was great at communicating throughout the entire planning process. The day of, she arrived on time and wowed my guests with her cooking. The food was phenomenal. I would definitely hire her again for future events. More...
