This staff is absolutely amazing. I had an emergency with my cat Maui and decided to rush him to the staff at Taconic Rt. 202 24 hour Veterinary Care . From the second I pulled into the parking lot, the staff were so attentive and friendly. I have never felt safer leaving my Maui in someone’s immediate care. Every step of the way, the staff were caring, helpful, and honest. They aren’t just trying to make a dollar. They care about the animals and their best interest.
Unfortunately we had to have my Maui cross the rainbow bridge.
Dr. Mel, Rahuchel, Alex & the rest of the staff were the absolute best in comforting me and my family in this difficult time.
I just received a personalized condolence card to my house with a wholesome prayer card. I couldn’t be happier with this Vet Center. They are absolutely amazing. They care about the animals more than any other vet I have been to. Highly recommend!!
Thanks again to you all.
From,
Maui’s family.

I love this facility. I moved to this area a few years ago and brought my two dogs at the time for everything. One of my dogs had cancer and she went to sleep. Dr. Wallace takes good care of my elderly dog, and my two new puppies which were rescues. She examined them for almost 3 hours and gave them so much good care. I am confident when my dogs go to Dr. Wallace's hands. I pray for everyone who works at this facility, you have a challenging job. Many blessings to you all!. More...

I can't say enough about Dr Wallace. She is a 1st class, excellent veterinarian  with the soul of an angel. I trust her completely and know her treatment is based on knowledge, experience and compassion.  I recently had an issue with my grandpuppy and she was efficient, knowledgeable, sensitive and most of all calming. A few years ago I went through an illness with my cat and she was amazing. She listened to my concerns, gave me wonderful advice and supported the end of life decision that I made. I chose to let my sweet angel pass at home and there was no judgement on Dr Wallace's part. She felt my pain and cried with me when I handed my beloved friend to her after passing. I highly recommend Dr Wallace and the entire  Taconic 202 family More...

I have been meaning to write this review for sometime. This place is an incredible find.A 24 hour full animal hospital and veterinary service. I rushed my cat here at 2am.Urinary crystals. The level of care was on the very highest level I have ever seen in my 50 years of having pets. From the professional manner to the follow up to every single small detail of my cat's three days here, I was impressed at every step. The owner is an absolutely amazing man giving back to his local community. The vets are world class, especially Dr. Wellington, the front desk was run like a Swiss clock with loving personality.Every person working there is operating on the highest level possible in their profession.Of course, they healed my cat, but they also comforted me and made me feel that they really cared. And they came in so far below the initial budget, I was blown away.I want to write more, but I'll leave it there.I'm extremely grateful I found them.I wish them a lifetime of success. Staff is very knowledgeable but never pushy when it comes to making decisions. From a new puppy to delicate growth removal near our senior dogs eye, to cyst removal on our massive cat, or just assuring us on the phone that we aren't crazy, they do it all.Could not recommend more. It's taken a while to write this but I have to say what a great place this is.Back in February on a Sunday morning my beloved dog Moose started having cluster seizures, knowing my vet was closed Taconic was the closest option. I was so scared because I didnt know them and honestly I didnt want to get taken advantage of.When we walked in we were seen right away. The dr gave me all the options but in the end gave me very honest answers. We left Moose for the day to see if they could get the seizures under control. The staff was great and listened to me when I talked of Moose and how great and special he is. Later Moose was sent home with seizures under control. We were so happy however we knew Moose suffered earlier. He had another seizure that evening and I called Taconic right away they told me exactly what to do.Unfortunately the next morning we knew Moose was suffering and had to put him to sleep.Taconic called to check on him and I told them the bad news.Even though we lost Moose these people made it possible to bring him home for one more day and I will be forever grateful for that. Two days later we received a call from Sheena that we were accidentally over charged and a check was in the mail. I'd have known no different but they were honest!!.Cant ask for more than that!!They also sent a condolence card as if they knew Moose and us forever . May not seem like much but it I thought it was beautiful. More...

I was looking for a new vet closer to home after one of my pups was diagnosed with diabetes and I didn't feel comfortable driving far in an emergency.  I checked out a few places and wasn't overly impressed with anyone until I came here.  My first phone call to make an appointment was a great experience.  Sheena put me at ease immediately and I'm sure she had no idea but she lifted the stress that I had been feeling for the past two weeks with her wonderful tone and reassurance!  I mentioned the diabetes issue and that I purchased a glucometer and was wanting to learn how to use it and she told me to bring it in and they would show me and that they had a great team that was experienced with diabetes.  THAT was exactly what I had been needing to hear!I got in the next week and saw Dr. Saura.  She was wonderful, as was the Vet tech and the young man (Steve? -- I'm awful with names) who showed us how to use the glucometer.  Everyone was so helpful and so patient.  I left there feeling so much better than I had been since the diagnosis.  I also felt very confident that I had found the right team for my pups.  I've had these two rescues for about 4 and a 1/2 years and they're both 9 years old, so while I realize they can't be around forever, it makes me happy to bring them to a Vet that I can feel confident will take such good care of them and help me give them the best life possible!  So, yes, I'm VERY happy to have found them and that they are there 24/7!  Definitely puts me at ease! Dr. Wallace and the staff are lifesavers! My dog needed emergency surgery asap and my primary vet wanted me to head out to Katonah for even more tests and then surgery. I decided to head over to the 24 hr vet center instead because it was only 10 minutes away. They took us right away, called my vet to discuss the case and immediately operated on her. Within a few hours my dog was stable and out of surgery. Dr. Wallace is not only a skilled surgeon, but a warm, caring individual overall. The staff are great with the animals, they rocked my dog to sleep when she had to stay overnight and even went out to get special food for her when she wouldn't eat.All in all, my dog had a smooth recovery and it's all thanks to the expertise and care of Dr. Wallace and the amazing staff. Even if I go in for a quick checkup, they always follow up to make sure everything is going well. The pricing for certain tests are also much more affordable than what I was being charged at my former vet, I actually had to go back in and make sure I wasn't being undercharged by mistake when I received the first bill. We went away for food and cat toys, came back and looked for another hour with the vet staff still helping, still no dice. Tearful kids. It's a disaster. Then one of the vet techs spots the little bugger hiding under a bush. We entice him out with food and grab him and go get him the vaccine we came for. I came here late at night with my puppy who had a tick in her skin. I knew nothing about ticks so understandably I was very concerned that there was a chance that she could have more. My puppy is my whole life. She is like my child. I ended up getting the tick out myself but I brought my puppy in anyway to make sure that she was in good health and that she had no more. They told me that I might not need a check up and that she may be just fine and i can save my money if need be because it really wasn’t necessary to do a check up on her and she was OK. I opted in for a check up for it anyway for safety of mind. The results came back and she was in good health. They treated my baby very well. They gave me something also for her stomach as well because she was having stomach problems and advised me on what I can do to avoid to diminish the amount of ticks that she could probably get in my area. The following two days, they called me to check up on my baby and for that I will be forever grateful. Most people will spend time reading negative reviews, I will write good and bad ones depending on my experiences and this one is one of my good ones. Thank you for the lovely hospitality! More...

I had to take my dog for an emergency visit last night for a cut paw. Dr. Sterk was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive and empathetic to our situation and I felt completely reassured about my poor pup's injury. She did so well helping my anxious dog feel calmer. It was very clear that she cares about her patients. She explained everything that needed to happen clearly and made sure we felt comfortable. I was surprised how relatively quickly we were able to get everything done given that it was an emergency visit. The cost was what I expected it to be for such a procedure and it was reasonable. (If you own a pet you should be ready for the expense of such things) Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. For those of you who wrote a negative review, I'm sorry that your experience was anything less than what my family and I received, or that your opinion was clouded by the emotion of a tragic experience. Sadly, our little pup, Lucky, didn't pull through, yet my family and I still cannot say enough positive things about the time that we spent at this establishment. When we brought our dog in, he was very sick with many complications. We were told that nothing could be guaranteed, but that they were willing to do everything they could to save him within our parameters. Lucky was immediately admitted and the tests began. He stayed for four days and three nights and I have to say, there wasn't ever a moment that we didn't believe he was receiving the best care possible. We were given phone calls at home with updates on his current status, as well as the procedures and measures that were being put into action. Every secretary, tech, and doctor that we spoke to was warm and patient with our questions. They also made it a point to say how much they enjoyed Lucky on a personal level. There was a genuine care and concern from everyone we spoke to. Visits were welcomed at any point, I was able to visit him at two in the morning with nothing but smiles and positive energy from the staff. After the four days, Lucky was released to us to see if he could remain stable without constant hospitalization. Over the course of the next two days, we received several calls from various staff inquiring about how Lucky was holding up. Mind you, these weren't clinical protocol checkups, but people with a love for our pet. Unfortunately, after just a few short days, Lucky's body began to shut down and we had to put him to sleep. Once again, the staff was so supportive and accommodating. They gave us all the time we needed prior to and following the procedure and told us to call if we needed anything, even just to talk. We received several more phone calls in the following days from doctors expressing their sorrow and sincerest apologies for what had happened, that they truly grew to love Lucky in the past week. Just today, we received a card in the mail from the vet. This wasn't just a generic card, but one that was signed from all staff that had aided in his care during his stay. The card also had his paw print in it, so that we may have a little piece of him to hold on to forever. While we wish that the end result was different and we miss Lucky terribly, my family and I cannot thank the staff enough for all of their time and effort that was given to Lucky and to us, clinically and emotionally. We are forever grateful for them. They gave us everything within their means and made a difficult time far easier. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wishes to give their pet the best care possibly, both clinically and emotionally. More...

Despite some of the setbacks, Dr. Berk never gave up and now Bailey may be the healthiest kitten we have ever had!  Bailey arrived at the hospital weighing less than 1lb (at 3 months old) and now he's energetic and robust weighing at more than 10lbs.  We owe our deepest gratitude to Dr. Berk and his entire staff.  Bailey is treated like family every time we come in for a check-up or just to visit.
