Great Showcase today. I have only had one interaction with Supreme, bought tickets online for the 4:00 show. I didn’t know that there was a 2:00 show (sold out) and that was where my two grandkids were performing. My daughter started dancing at this studio when she was quite young and it was under different ownership. It was lovely then, but the new owners (new as of 3 years ago) have taken things to a whole 'nother level. Elmo and Gino set the tone for a warm, inclusive, supportive, fun, diverse environment for these kids to learn not just how to dance, but how to be gracious, generous, kind people. And it shows. This year was a record year for awards at the various competitions, but the most important aspect is and has always been that they are all there for each other. My daughter was really searching for a more challenging dance company that allowed her to really pursue her passion of hip-hop and all other disciplines of dance at the same time. She started dancing when she was 3-years-old and danced for many years in the park district. When we came to Supreme Dance Studio we had no idea what to expect and I can honestly say this studio has transformed her! She has always been a strong and skilled dancer but she is now being mentored and coached to dance on a whole different level. Supreme Dance Studio is a place where students not only become technical, energetic, and award winning dancer, they also are a part of a family that is completely supportive and super fun. This studio made me realize that dance is my passion, and the training here is the reason that I'm now a dance minor at Northwestern University. This is not your typical dance studio. Every child has an opportunity to grow and be better at what they do. They treat these kids like their own if, you're looking to be on a team or just take classes this is the place to be! Yes hip-hop is core here but, you also have other varieties of dance such as ballet, contemporary, break dance, modern, jazz funk and even adult classes! Super friendly owners, convenient location with lots of street parking, and a really clean and well kept studio! All of the instructors (both regular and pop up) are always super well versed and teach amazing classes. The kids' program is bomb, but there's classes for people of all ages.
