We had a fantastic experience with Sun Bay Builders. They did a complete renovation and addition to our 1980’s home. Basically everything was renovated or replaced down to the studs and a new family room, master bathroom and porch were added. Mike Miano, Superintendent Jason, and their entire team were very professional during the process and were very responsive to our many requests and change orders. They are a very ethical and professional company and provided quality workmanship with great attention to details. We would not hesitate to use Sun Bay again on any future construction projects. Sun Bay Builders did a room addition for us a couple of years ago and we couldn’t be happier with the results. They were very communicative every step of the way which we obviously appreciated a lot. If we were ever stuck on a decision, they were extremely helpful in talking it through with us. One thing I noticed that I don’t think many contractors do, is they made sure to clean up after themselves each day. Anyone who has had work done knows how messy it can get and I was pleasantly surprised to see a clean work area when I would come home. Little details like that go a long way. I am excited to say that we have hired Sun Bay Builders again for our upcoming garage addition and kitchen remodel. Sun Bay Builders renovated our 99 year old home including kitchen, floors,electrical, bathrooms, and foundation. We are pleased with the finished workand overall experience. Several things distinguish Sun Bay from other General Contractors in thelocal area. First, they were competitive in pricing and estimating theeffort for the job. Second, they have been in business for over 25 years andhave a network of reputable sub contractors. So, progress was made everyweek. We picked the perfect contractor for our major house renovation and expansion when we found Sunbay Builders. From the start to finish and now in the follow up phase they have been excellent. We started by meeting with Mike and his father Mike, who gave realistic numbers in cost and time. Chip, the construction supervisor, and all their employees were a pleasure to deal with. When we ran into problems or delays, as inevitably will happen, we worked our way through them together to the satisfaction of both parties. In this time of construction boom, finding a contractor that has good reliable sub-contractors is critical. Sun Bay Builders was contracted to renovation and update our 6600 square foot commercial office property. Mike and his team were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire construction process. Our new office space required a complete facelift/update –entering the building the very first time felt as if we stepped back in time to the 70’s. Mike and his team worked hand in hand with our designer and created a new and updated office building which immediately brought the building into today’s time. I honestly can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had with Sunbay Builders for our remodel. From the initial meeting, through the final steps of the project, our expectations were exceeded. They were very conscious of our budget, and gave us options for alternatives and upgrades with that in mind. We found them to be timely, honest, communicative, and friendly. As a total construction novices, I always felt like we were in such good hands with Mike and Jason. They answered when we called and took the time to explain every little detail along the way. I went through a whole house renovation and as a full time business owner I had to undertake this project on my own. I was able to run my business while Sunbay managed the project from start to finish. They were very professional from the detail of contract to the finished product exceeding my every expectation. When I inherited my parents 1950's home in St.Pete.Florida it was badly in need of updating.I live in Massachusetts and could not stay in Florida to oversee a complete home renovation so I needed a contractor I could trust. After researching local contractors online and getting recommendations from building officials in the area I selected Sun Bay Builders.Mike,Sue and Mike jr listened to what I wanted to do,provided me with solid no nonsense advice and a detailed plan to get the job done within my budget.They consistently kept me informed of the progress.Their professionalism,quality of work and attention to detail was outstanding .I would highly recommend Sun Bay Builders to anyone who wants to build a new home or renovate an existing one with quality work! Sunbay Builders did a good job. The project was on budget and completed in the timeframe we agreed to. This was a large project (400K) with a number of difficult architectural aspects that Chip and Mike handled well.

Sun Bay builders did a major remodel to our home in St Petersburg, FL. This included expanding our kitchen, adding a new bathroom and remodeling two others. They enclosed our porch and we now have a wonderful area to entertain outside. We worked closely with them to have tile choices, paint colors, bathroom fixtures, lighting, and new appliances selected and delivered to keep the project moving forward.

Sun Bay Builders did a phenomenal job transforming our dilapidated beach house into a show piece.  The workman were professional and our neighbors were very happy that they were neat and respectful. .  We had no noise issues.  Chip is a master craftsman, exceptionally honest, reliable and talented.  We are looking forward to working with Sun Bay on our main house.  Mike thoroughly researched the complicated project and came in with a competitive bid that accurately represented the scope of work.  We did not have one bad day.  I cannot imagine what the negative review posted above is about.
