What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Connection. First, a great connection with the subject of the photo in order to make that person feel comfortable then allowing that rapport to flow through to the subject's connection with the camera or the person or persons they are shooting with. Even a fundamentally flawed photo can be great if there's a good on camera connection!!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always like to find out from a client what their motivation for their shoot is. It helps to get an idea of the story they'd like to tell with their photos. Many times it's accompanied with photos a client may have seen that inspired them or a location. It's great to build off of these motivations in order to preserve the emotional feel that fueled the desire throughout the process.
What do you love most about your job?
Simply put. It's my dream job. I love photography and capturing moments, emotions, scenes, and stories for people to have and cherish. Definitely feeds my soul!!
