Stu just recently performed DJ services for our wedding. We were impressed with how professional he was and how well he communicated with us leading up to our wedding. Before we even hired him, Stu sat down with us for coffee to get to know is. At the reception Stu kept the energy high and made the event great. To top it off, he gave us a very fair price! Thanks Stu! More...

Q&As

If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret, now, would it? LOL! Seriously, it's all about listening. I pay attention to the input from my couples/clients and their guests, and gauge the mood of the crowd throughout the night. Reading a crowd isn't some mysterious Jedi super power; it's all about simply paying attention.

Flexible. I know when to take the lead and when to sit back and let things happen, and everything in-between. My radio and public speaking experience gives me a polished, professional stage presence, yet I also understand that nobody comes to a wedding to see ME. I keep it about the couple, or if I'm doing a company event, about the company or promotion. I'm a bit like a conductor; I keep things moving along.

People! I love working with people, especially when everyone is at their best. I love seeing them react to what I'm doing; that smile that appears when "their" song comes on; the giggles when I get them to do sometimes silly things. I also love music, so my DJ service is the perfect blend!

Back in the late '70s, I was laid off from work. Being known as "the guy with the big stereo and all the music" in my community, a friend called and asked if I'd "play DJ" for his wedding when his scheduled band broke up and informed him they wouldn't be there. That first gig was all I needed to know that this was my calling.

#1 should be my experience. Although I don't look it, I'm going into my 40th year as a DJ as of 2019! I've faced and tackled every problem and obstacle that a DJ can. In fact, I bring 100% back-up gear to every event. Even though I choose the best, any piece of gear can fail, and often at the worst possible moment. So I back it all up, right on down to every tiny cable, connector and battery pack. I understand that, when it comes to life events, we never get a "do over"!
