Joe is an expert at his craft and if you’re looking for a specialized workout, no matter your status as a newbie or someone who has worked out for years, he’s your guy. Joe came through BIG TIME for me. I had specific performance goals I had to meet for the military and a full ROTC collegiate scholarship was on the line. While training and testing using other outlets, it was Joe and his team who ultimately helped me achieve my training objectives and pass my test requirements.

He took his time with us during the initial visit and provided us with a detailed outline and timeline of how we would accomplish my objectives. Fortunately, he had experience preparing others for what I needed to prepare for.

We put our full trust in Joe and his team and allocated a full year to prepare for the test based on his recommendations. Turns out, the timeline we used was actually a bit conservative. After beginning the training program in July, 2019, my Army Physical Fitness Test results continued to improve and I took a nice leap in October 2019. Joe and I performed an official test for my application, and I scored high enough across all sectors of the test to be considered for a scholarship. And what was the result? I was the recipient of a 4 year scholarship!

I continue to work with Joe to attain new training objectives. He’s been instrumental in keeping me at an elite level of fitness while at the same time keeping me healthy.

I started at StrongFit in November 2014, which is SO crazy (I had to look it up just now and I cannot believe that it’s been that long! ) At the time, I wanted to “try” a personal trainer for a few months before my wedding. So I looked around, read a lot of reviews about different places and I truly remember thinking “Just for a few months, 4-5 tops! Too expensive!” (plus I wasn’t particularly excited about working out )… Joe reached out and seemed the most genuine so I went with it.

I hadn’t been pushed physically since High School so I was nervous but I LOVED it. I saw results I didn’t know I could. I lost 18 pounds for my wedding (I don’t even think Joe knows that because I didn’t do an eval right before) but most importantly, felt AMAZING!! To top it off, I actually looked forward to going!... well, as much as us normal people can look forward to the gym lol

I totally surprised myself and decided to spend the money to continue going well after that, because I just felt so great! After a while, I started going through one of those rough patches in life that we all go through… I was insanely busy and focused on grad school, I had a lot of mental breakdowns and weird slumps & started going to the gym less and less. Joe (& his team) were SO supportive the entire time. They encouraged me but didn’t push too much, reached out when they didn’t have to, and truly made me feel like they care about me and were there for me. I finally just took like a 6 month break to focus on school, because I knew I wasn’t committed and was wasting my money and their time. After I graduated in that December I started back in January and I felt like I never left!

If you’re considering a personal trainer, I promise you the pros outweigh the cons… at least in my experience :)

Personal Trainers

I have trained with Joe Policastro as needed over the last couple of years. He is amazing as a coach and as a person! I went there with a lot of pain in my back and he has helped me significantly. He devises a training routine to address your concerns and goals. My back feels much better now and with our training, I have less pain every day.

Personal Trainers

Personal Trainers

I've been training with Joe for about a year total now. I love coming to the gym and being pushed to be stronger. Joe is awesome and is always great at explaining how to do the exercises properly. He is very encouraging and supportive. As a woman, I find this gym to be very welcoming and friendly. I have made a lot of progress in strength but the real benefit for me is improving my range of motion and running form. I almost lost the ability to walk in 2020 due to illness, and wanted to take back control of my body. Joe started me out with exercises for balance and stability. He really understood that we were starting from scratch. In 2 years working together, I have gained almost an inch in height from strengthening postural muscles, and can now deadlift more than I weigh. I can see muscles in my arms and shoulders that I’ve never seen before. I have gone from feeling betrayed by my body to being the strongest I’ve ever been in my life. I suffer with a lot of back pain and knew that I needed to make a change to help improve my quality of life. I reached out to StrongFit and was contacted by Joe Policastro the following day. We went over all the details and history of my pain and scheduled an assessment. After the assessment I decided to join and within the 5 months of training with Joe on a bi-weekly basis I saw so much improvement. We worked on overall strength training, especially in my core, arms, and back. He also assisted with spinal decompression stretches that relieved a lot of pain in my back and hips. Personal Trainers

Joe Policastro was my personal trainer for the summer and he was great! When I first started training with him, I knew nothing about weight lifting, but it was my goal to be able to understand what exercises I feel comfortable doing and learn about what the right weight limits for myself are. I also wanted to continue running (I have been a runner all my life), so it was important to find a balance between strength training and cardio so that I didn't feel overworked. I can genuinely say that Joe helped me reach these goals in just the few short months I was able to train with with him before heading back to college. He worked with me to assess what I wanted to achieve out of our training sessions, was flexible with timing if I ever needed to reschedule due to work, and I left feeling more confident to go and workout by myself at the gym. I have been working with Joe since July 2014. When I first started with Joe, I had picked up running a few years prior but wanted to get back to strength training and just didn't know where to start. I had some home gym equipment and would follow videos or monthly schedules found online, but nothing ever stuck or seemed to have much of an impact so I sought out for some assistance. Right from the initial consult, I felt very comfortable with him and could tell that he had my best interest in mind. I started out at twice a week with him for a few months and made great progress but had to decrease to once a month for the next year or so.

In July 2016, I hurt my back - I did have a previous back injury but this was new and quite worse, a torn disc. Instead of cancelling my sessions, Joe worked with me in conjunction with my chiropractor and helped me gain strength in my core and back to aid in my recovery. Now, I can't say it was a quick process but in this case, slow and steady wins the race and now I feel I am stronger than I was before the injury.

Fast forward some and for the past year and a half, I have been working with Joe three days a week and have made great strides. Getting stronger not only feels good but it makes normal, everyday functions easier - unloading groceries, pulling out decoration totes, moving furniture, any kind of housework, you name it. I highly recommend Joe and then entire StrongFit team - they are an absolute pleasure to work with and whatever your goals are, they will help you meet them.

2 years ago, I consulted with Joe Policastro to help me overhaul my health and fitness. I had struggled for years to implement a work and food regimen that worked, so I looked for professional help. I am very grateful to have found Joe as he has been instrumental in my transformation to a healthier, stronger, and happier person. He takes a thorough approach to setting goals that meet my needs, as well as keeping me motivated and focused to improve myself everyday.

I consulted Joe at the height of my unhealthiness at 5'10", 285lbs. I was developing chronic back pain from being so overweight. At the time, I was very unmotivated to improve the situation as everything I personally tried didn't work. Be it diets or exercise, I needed help. Joe started by giving me a great foundation in physical training exercises that where challenging but well within my capabilities. He also provided a reasonable diet to help me reduce calorie intake, that wasn't a ridiculous restriction to food. In 3 months I dropped 54lbs and shredded 9% body fat.

As I gained more confidence lost more weight, Joe worked to develop good core strength and endurance, eventually implementing more weight training and lifting exercises. He taught me the movements and correct form to exercises I never thought I could ever achieve! Now I have the confidence to correctly perform these movements on my own (squats, bench press, deadlifts, etc.), and understand how to push myself safely. And when things are not feeling right, he is very quick to intervene and modify a workout, avoiding any chance of being uncomfortable or injured.

After a year of training, I have now lost 100lbs and 17% body fat (See Pics Below). I feel better than ever and have never been as motivated to continue this journey. This is all thanks to the help from Joe Policastro. He has a true passion to see you succeed and knows how to bring out your true potential. Joe well understood my objectives when I joined. He had me go through an assessment based on which he built a program and over the course of 3 months, he helped me progress on my goals by showing me a broad range of exercises that were new to me.

By implementing these to my daily routine, on top of my strongfit sessions I clearly saw progression and I feel now I have the tools to keep progressing on my own.

We believe every person should research three to five professionals, no matter the industry, to ensure the person/company you choose will be a good fit who can meet your needs. We do provide services remotely. We will begin with an onboarding call followed up with a movement evaluation via zoom or another preferred video source. When you work with one of our certified personal trainers & fitness coaches remotely, not only will you receive personalized programming and performance tracking, you will also have access to your program any place any time. You'll be able to view your evaluations, benchmarks, the work you’ve performed in previous sessions, and your prescribed workouts for your future appointments.

We keep our facility very clean and enforce a strict cleaning policy after equipment usage. Our facility also installs HEPA filters to trap and remove microscopic particles, including the COVID-19 virus.

We get it, you either have a passion for boxing or would like to partake because punching people is frowned upon in society. Or maybe we’re way off and you really want to use it as a method to get in great shape. We understand boxing is a need these days for people for various reasons, so we thought it was an important service to offer!

You will work 1 on 1 with an experienced boxing trainer and coach who will teach you everything you need to know to become an effective punching machine.

A focus on the sweet science with in depth learning of the sport. Training is more geared towards competition as opposed to fitness objectives.
