I love this place! If you are from Texas or used to big, western portions that leave you feeling bloated, you may be surprised, but the food here is superb. The aptmosphere and specials are good, and I love how into the culture the owner is.

I have never once been disappointed with my meal in all the time coming here. Yes, it is not as cheap as McDonald's or Whataburger, but the food is fresh and has a distinct taste you cannot find within 50 miles of Waco. If you usually eat large portions, try an appetizer or a dessert; your taste buds will thank you! I'm not a spicy eater so I will usually go mild, but I am sure more daring folks will enjoy all spice levels the same :)

Waco has about 1,000 places to eat burgers, fried chicken, and Mexican food. Most of them are of the same quality and serve the same food. If you want to try something with a unique taste to break the monotony, become a patron of this restaurant. Waco needs more options like Stone Hearth!

Wonderful restaurant. My husband I love to go here for date night or just on a whim. The food is flavorful and fresh. Have seen a few comments about portions - nonsense! The meal fills you up, and they have inexpensive appetizers and desserts for anyone who would like to indulge a little more (the vegetable samosas with tamarind sauce are my favorite). So glad that Waco has this restaurant! More...

I love this place. Make sure you ask for the spice level you want. Its a wide range! If you like super spicy like I do then you are at the right place! Also awesome vegetarian options.

Business trip .. customer recommended we try Indian food . This was the best Indian food I have had in my life. Very flavorful and homemade taste. Customer service was exceptional and the food was so fresh I couldn’t stop eating. I think I tried everything on the menu. I can’t wait to come back to Waco this will be my go to restaurant.
I can’t wait to find a restaurant like this in Florida.

Despite what I have read, I have not experienced any bad service at this restaurant. This is a consistently good restaurant and they have solid customer service. The wait is a bit longer than average because they tend to make a lot of their food fresh. If you are looking for something unique in Waco, this is a good choice. I highly recommend the curries. Love to come here for lunch- I'm not a 'spicy food' person- but the Butter Chicken set to "mild" is just right! Garlic Naan hits the spot too. Good food, good atmosphere.

So many improvements since their opening. This place is worth your time! Fresh naan made on the spot. Authentic and fusion recipes, which taste much like what you would encounter in the Pacific islands or in your auntie's kitchen. The rice was perfect this time too! Be aware that portions are different, ask for extra if you absolutely need too, but for the average person it's perfect. More...

Only had 2 appetizers. They were good, a little bit too oily. Chutney was very good. Fast food vibe but food took a while to prepare. Very clean and comfortable venue. Just the right amount of items on the menu, but the items need explanation if you don't have experience with this genre of cuisine. More...

Amazing food! Very reasonably priced.

I love Indian food and I was craving it recently and was happy to discover this place opened recently. I was skeptical because I've never had Indian food cafe style. I was worried that it wouldn't have the same taste as other Indian restaurants. But it's just as good as any other Indian restaurant I've been to.

The portions are perfect. I saw another comment complaining about portions, and I saw that Indian Cafe responded that they are going to increase portions. I don't know if they have already done so or not, but I know that when I went, the portions were perfect. First, Indian Cafe is better priced than many other Indian restaurants. Also, the containers they use make some of the portions appear smaller than they are. Don't let your eyes fool you. If you order to go and put the meal into one of your plates at home, you'll see that the portions are quite large, especially for the price.

I'm so glad we finally have Indian food in Waco. The food starts off not at all spicy, so if you want the more typical Indian spice, I encourage you to ask for "authentic" or higher level of spicy.
