I got to know Steven through my sis's wedding. After seeing his photos, I got the answer why she chose him as her photographer for her most important day. All photos are masterpieces. I can tell he spent a lot of attention and effort to catch up every moment. He did a headshot for me last month. It’s incredible. He carefully guided me through the process of posing, moving the fingers, and displaying the best of myself in front of the camera. 😘 To future couples seeking a wedding photographer, Steven is more than just a professional behind the camera; he is an artist who paints with light, capturing the beauty, joy, and love that define a wedding. We are eternally grateful for his artistry and dedication, and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in search of not just a photographer, but a true storyteller who will elevate your special day to a level of pure magic. Unfortunately we were only able to do a pre-wedding photoshoot with him and not our wedding day due to availability. But the pre-wedding pictures are truly precious because we can include our fur baby with us. Highly recommended doing a pre-wedding shoot especially if you have fur babies. The wedding day will be too hectic and it's hard to include your pets on that day. I can't thank Steven enough for his amazing skills in capture the best moments in such short amount of time. It was only 1.5 hours of photoshoot but the results are outstanding. Steven knows exactly what to do to make us comfortable to pose and capture not just the scenery but our emotions as well. We have done multiple photoshoots so we know how hard it is to pose and get good angles on your facial expressions. By far, the photoshoot with Steven is the best experience. It was so quick and enjoyable, we did not sweat or grow tired at all. Even the groom/my husband was having a good time with Steven, and you know how annoying men are when it comes to do photoshoot ;) If the groom love the photoshoot experience, you know this photographer is hella good :) Not only he's fast and precise in taking photos, his delivery time is amazingly fast. Steven helped our friends to take their engagement photos, and my now husband and I were so impressed of his style, so when it was our time to look for the photographer for our big day, Steven was our first choice and the only photographer that we wanted to work with. Steven is friendly and easy to work with, and he is so good at capturing photos with natural lights and interactions between people. My husband and I was in a budget, but Steven was so understandable and willing to custom the package for us so that we could be within our budget :) On our wedding day everything got delayed, so we almost missed our wedding party photo session… But Steven did a great job and worked super fast to take photos for us and the photos were so great. WOW!! Steven Nguyen Photography was one of the BEST INVESTMENT for out wedding. We're so glad we chose Steven and his team, they delivered everything on time and it was not hard to immediately say "YES" after our consultation call. Steven is simply an honest & nice guy, which was what stood out most during our zoom call. Besides his work, my husband and I felt we connected well with him and the trust was evident, since day one. Steven was always responsive and courteous in all of our communication. I reserved my date with Steven about a year in advance to ensure that he locks in that date with us before someone else does (reserving a GOOD wedding photographer in Southern California can be competitive). I love how all of our interaction/communication were more than just a transaction. My husband and I love working with Steven and we felt like we could totally hangout with him and his wife (Connie). We didn't meet Connie until our wedding day and let me tell y'all...she is a whole different vibe (in a good way). I'm so glad she accompanied Steven, she was fun to be around, so down to earth, and awesome to be around. She brings this burst of energy and fun to the wedding team. Steven's artistic work made it look like it was a million dollar wedding (I don't know how, but he did it). I would give Steven 20 stars because he is simply the best! We booked him to shoot our wedding at South Park Center in DTLA, and it was easily one of the best decisions we've ever made. As far as photography skills, Steven is a master of his trade. His artistic style is light, airy, and sophisticated, which matched really well with our modern/minimalist theme. We loved that he employs a balance of candid and posed shots, and that he has a sharp eye for detail and knows exactly how to position your hair strands for portraits or where you should stand to minimize harsh shadows based on the angle of the sun. Not to mention, Steven is a man of impeccable work ethics who is constantly & quickly learning new ways of improving his photography & editing process - so by the day of your event, he might've improved drastically from the day you booked him! Not only is Steven a talented photographer, but he is also one of the best guys you'll ever meet. When we had to eventually postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2022, he changed our date without any hesitation and even gifted us a mini engagement shoot. And despite how busy he is, he always finds time to respond quickly and patiently to our countless questions. He is also very accommodating, often going to the extra mile (or 1000 miles) to make sure not only the pictures come out great, but the couple's big day goes as smoothly as possible. Aside from the obvious quality in his work, we were especially impressed with Steven's incredible turnaround time. He gave us over 200 edited sneak peek shots literally the next day! And when we mentioned that we'd like to send out thank you cards soon, he sent us all the edited guest photos within 2 weeks. Many guests were very surprised how quickly we received the professional pictures. Of course, we can't wrap up on Steven without acknowledging his lovely partner and assistant, Connie. She is hilarious yet professional, and an absolute joy to be around. The pair of them make a wonderful team that will surely bring a smile to your face! What inspired you to start your own business?
I started as a volunteer to assist instant print at a wedding, the speech of bride's father moved me deeply, and I realized how important it is to capture these precious moments in life. From there, my passion for photography grew, and I decided to pursue it professionally. I was inspired to start my own business because I wanted to have the freedom to express my creativity and provide a personalized experience for each of my clients. I truly believe that everyone has a unique story to tell, and it is my mission to capture the beauty of their journey through my lens. Starting my own business has allowed me to connect with people on a deeper level, and it brings me immense joy to be a part of their most cherished memories.
