Steele Sound

I can provide either of my two steel bands.

The DESERT WINDS STEEL ORCHESTRA - this is my large 15+ member steel band which is ideal for after dinner entertainment. We can put on an extraordinary show with a variety of musical selections. We would need a set-up space of 30 feet wide and 25 feet deep to accommodate our orchestra. This group is totally acoustic but we would need two microphones for our presentation. Our typical fee is $850-$1100 but we will work within the budget of the following types of organizations: retirement communities, churches, charities and civic organizations.

The STEELE SOUND - this is my small ensemble steel band. We can provide either a duo or a trio. All of our musicians perform on steel drums plus we make use of pre-recorded background tracks so we sound like a 5- or 6-piece band. This group is ideal for background entertainment during a social event or for a scaled down mini-concert. We would need a set-up space of 16 feet wide and 12 feet deep and access to electricity.

Either band will be dependent upon availability of musicians. Once I know if you are interested in either of my groups, I will immediately find out if we have the musicians to fulfill your request. If you are looking for some real show-stopping entertainment in which the band would be the highlight of the event, then I highly recommend the DESERT WINDS STEEL ORCHESTRA. If you are having more of a social event where you would like some live music to augment the occasion but not to necessarily be the focal point, then I would recommend the STEELE SOUND.
