What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Flexibility! Being able to read a crowd is an art. Realizing what song or even genres will be a winner is important. Knowing what works helps but being able to switch at a moment's notice is key. We leave our ego at home. People often ask, "what is your favorite song as a DJ?" My answer is simple, "whatever will get that crowd to the dancefloor!"
How would you describe your ‘style’?
We can say we have done it all. We have rocked College Bars and Clubs in the tri-state area. Been a part of over 250 weddings all along the East Coast. We even have a few birthdays and corporate events as well. Our style fits our audience. We realize not everyone wants to have a rave-themed event so we take that into consideration! (nothing against a good rave- we have fog and lasers too if that is your style!)
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new people and seeing different places. Even after 15 years of weddings I enjoy going out each weekend and being a small part of someone's big day. My assistant often makes jokes because I still get emotional at almost every wedding. We do not do this for the money or fame. We have a passion for music and seeing people have fun!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a nerd growing up and loved music and the technology that DJs get to use. I DJed a school dance in 2nd grade and with the help of incredible mentors and support of family I was Djing High School Dances by 4th Grade. Once I graduated 8th grade I decided to make it official. I applied for a business license and they say the rest is history! I enjoy being a local small business owner and giving back to a community that supports me.
Why should our clients choose you?
There are the usual answers like- experience, we only use professional equipment or our knowledge of top 40 music. Those are all true of course, but the truth is we like to have fun too! You only hire a DJ for fun and exciting events so that is our motto. We have our professional side for business and formal events but we want to make the time we have together unforgettable.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We follow all state, local, venue, and client guidelines. We do everything we can to keep everyone safe but still bring out some fun that everyone deserves during these uncertain times.
