I spent the better part of a year researching systems and companies for my solar install. I went through all of the usual national companies, Duracell, Mona Lee, Tesla, just to name a few. I also went through quoting with several state-wide companies. My neighbor had solar installed, so I asked him who it was and if he was satisfied. He gave me Solar Tech's info. Ross and I went back and forth for a bit and when all was said and done, he beat every other company's price as well as the lowest finance rate. I had a large system installed, 64 panels, producing enough power for 100% offset in a 3000 Sq Ft home. We've had 2 months of solid billing, and my bill is the minimum $30.00 charge that Duke allows. However, I have already carried forward credits for over 1800Kwh which will ensure that my summer bills will also be offset, and I will potentially get a check from Duke at the end of the year. My average power bill for the year was over $600.00/mo. I used to complain about the heat. Now all I feel on a hot day is the sweet flow of power back into Duke's grid. We researched panels from numerous manufactures and selected Sill Fab 370s due to their performance specifications and Solar TechElec for their extended warranty provided as our installer. SolarTecElec installed 31 panels, Sil Fab 370’ HCs, and 31 Emphase IQ8PLUS-72-2-US 240volt micro inverters. Paired together these will allow day light power operation during power outages with a smaller battery support power supply. Solar TechElec installed a system that is a Tier 1 residential solar array, rated at 11.47 kW DC, and produced 16600.20 watts in our first year of operation. Our bill from Duke Electric was never more than their minimum monthly charge and we will be receiving a credit for the extra 1436 watts produced (about one month usage) and delivered to the grid. About a year ago I contacted several solar companies to get an idea of pricing for a solar system for our new house being built in Ocala. Solar Tech Elec LLC had the lowest pricing. Mr. Ross Dyson was very nice to work with from the first visit.He evaluated my needs and explained the system as well as the installation process. He designed a system at an affordable price and stated working on it right away. They designed the system as well as got the necessary permit and installed the system in one day as soon as the permit was available. The system is nice and there are no wires or tubes running on the roof and it did not affect the appearance of the house. The meter swap was also coordinated by them and done smoothly. I was kept informed of the progress at all stages as majority ok of work except installation was done while I was away. I did not any significant time in calling the Utility or the City office as this was all done by Solar Tech Elec.
I had a very good experience and if anyone is planning Solar system I strongly recommend they call Solar Tech Elec.

Was the best price I found after calling quite a few solar companies in TBA. Ross, and the two that did the R&R were professional and timely. They even knew how to remove Tesla's proprietary garbage mounting system and build a custom frame to reinstall the panels on. All the other companies said they didn't have the equipment to work on Tesla panels and wanted to charge me a ridiculously higher amount to attempt to tackle the job. Honestly, they did a better job than Tesla as Solar Tech mounted nearly all the panels on South side (as opposed to Tesla who put only about 60% of them on the South), and I have enough room underneath now to blow the leaves out from under them. 6 years ago I decided to have solar installed and after multiple companies and quotes one stood out above the rest and that's solar tech.
Ross always answered his phone for any questions I had during the process. The install only took a day with Ross and his crew and the install looked perfect. Fast forward 6 years later and this system has served me flawlessly without a single problem not even a hiccup, 6 years of free power is awesome.

We got a pretty large system installed by Solar Tech Elec a few months ago. Overall, we are very happy with the system. It’s now producing what was promised and last month the system produced more than we used so I’ll be interested to see how it plays out throughout the entire year.
We dealt with a failed inspection and leak, but Ross sent someone out immediately to fix both! Ross made it right when we had issues and that’s what you want in a company.
We were nervous about going solar since it’s a big $ decision for a family, but I'm glad we did. Every year that passes I will save more and more as E-bills grow. I’ll be saving money now, but this was a long term play and will be saving a LOT of money in 10 years when energy bills are even higher.

I just got my 51 panel system installed by Solar Tech Elec a few months ago. Overall, I’m happy with the system and it’s producing pretty well.
We had a few delays and hiccups during install like a few failed inspections and a leak, but Ross addressed and fixed those things and made it right. The system seems to be generating what was promised and my last July bill was completely zero’d out.
I was really nervous about going solar, but I’m glad we did. I’ll save a little money throughout the year on solar now, but every year that passes I will save more and more as E-bills grow. The big savings are really down the road 5-10 years when the power bill will undoubtedly be much higher and my loan bill stays level.

What I liked most was how transparent Ross was with me during the qualifying process. I asked many many questions and Ross was always gracious enough to answer them honestly and throughly. I can’t say enough about them. I gave them the highest possible ratings. If there is one thing I would like to be approved upon in the future was how long the whole process takes. So be prepared to pack your patience. A lot of these things are beyond their control, (like building permits etc.) and they are really good about following up with you to give you updates on the process. Install of panels was fast. Contract then about two weeks of wait and two day install. Then it was a 4 month delay waiting on inspector and Gulf Power. Solartech paid my solar loan bill while waiting. Panels seem to be performing well and hope to see an almost zero electricity bill. I have one panel that isn’t showing on app, but am assured it’s working, just a number mix up. I’ll update once 100% on my end and performance has had time to evaluate.
