What inspired you to start your own business?
I lost three of my businesses in the 2004 hurricanes.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I implemented safety strategies from the CDC. I also have a cert in COVID safety measures. Covid is airborne, and space and excellent hygiene help curb getting it at work.

I am a Certified Family Business Advisor from The Galliard Family Business Advisor Institute. The institute is an educational membership organization of advisors and business leaders working to support the success of family-owned and closely held businesses, raise the standards of family business advising, and provide continuity in service across its network.
In family business coaching, I bring calm to the waters. I speak with the husband during the first week and the spouse during the next week, or vice versa, and during the third week, I meet with both. Then, I meet with each additional family member to build a motivated team that can work together and NOT against each other. The nonfamily members in the business will use this family drama to skip tasks they do not want to do and help keep the family members in an altered mind frame. A family member business will die from all of the infighting and close its doors.
