What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
When it comes to taking a great nature photo, people want to see something unique or rare, such as a silly smiling seal or something with naturally perfect symmetry and lighting. When it comes to taking a great portrait, it's about making the person's wonderful personality shine through.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Are they any particular shots, backgrounds, angles, etc. that you want to make sure we capture? Is there anything you would like to exclude from the photos? Would these photos need to stay private, or are they able to be posted on our Social Media pages?
What do you love most about your job?
I love capturing someone's personality in a picture. A lot of people use photos to mark milestones or to track time, and I love being able to provide them a service that helps with that.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always loved capturing unique, beautiful things, and growing up in Alaska, you see a lot of that. I've always captured important milestones for my friends and family, such as senior photos or professional headshots, and I was told again and again I should start doing it professionally. However, I know a lot of people can't afford a small fortune to get photos taken, so I decided to offer a truly affordable portrait service to my area free of contracts, spendy booking deposits, and added fees.

We do boudoir portraits year-round in the Juneau area. Each 3 hour session is $300 with every additional hour being an extra $50. Our basic 3 hour package includes a jump drive with all your photos. We don't charge deposits or booking fees. You just pay at the end of your session, so all you need to get started is to choose a location and a time.
