Jen at ShutterSchmack offers it all! She is an actress who understands and keeps up with what the industry is looking for in headshots. She really knows how to do your hair and make-up and helps you chose your outfits. She has an extremely helpful website, fair prices, and gives you all of your headshots in hi-res (helpful if your representation wants to see a different look in the future). I have way too many options of great photos and find it hard to chose just one favorite. Jen was incredibly professional and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, and to make me look good. We did a day of dance shots and headshots. By far my favorited shoot I've ever done. It was GREAT to work with Jen. She is a stylist, makeup artist AND photographer - a true triple threat in the business. All of those inform her work and we ended up with amazing shots that captured a range of emotion and movement. Anyway, I needed last minute head shots and she was willing to fit me into her busy schedule and she was quick to reply to my e-mails. When I arrived at her studio, she greeted me openly and we got to know each other, which made me feel more comfortable throughout the entire experience. She was flexible with her shooting locations, which was great because we shot during one of the hottest days in August. Jen's awesome! It was fun and easy and I had a bunch of shots to choose from after only an hour or two of shooting. I've never thought to hire a makeup artist for a photoshoot. I thought guys can get away skipping that step. But since it's included in Jen's sessions I let her work her magic. Looking in the mirror I couldn't even tell she put makeup on me but whatever subtle thing she did resulted in a lot more ready to use shots than I typically get in a photo session with minimal or no retouching.
