Q&As

Not only do I love meeting and working with dogs of all sizes and personalities but being able to help dogs and their people come together through training is really my passion, I think with the right guidance and changes all dogs have the ability to overcome their issues and be a pleasant member of your "pack".

I have a passion for working with dogs but the variety of skills and experience I have made it nearly impossible to find a job doing it all so by working for myself I'm able to utilize all of my skills to help people and their dogs.

I've got over 20 years of experience showing my dogs in both confirmation and obedience. I've worked as a veterinary assistant and as a dog groomer which has given me a wide range of skills and experience working with dogs of all personality types. In addition I've also fostered and worked with over 100 rescue dogs over the years. I'm pet CPR and First Aid certified and treat each dog as if it were my very own.

Services

Regular scheduled walks or visits during the day while you're at work or on vacation. Walks are 15 or 30 mins and can be scheduled up to 4 times per day. Pet sitting in your home with over night visits handled on a case by case basis. With every visit or walk, fresh water is given as well as food and/or medications as needed.

Training is offered in your home or at a local park. For new puppy owners we will go over potty training first as that is usually the biggest issue for new owners. Typically when done right, potty training can be done quickly in a matter of days with consistency on everyone's part. Once we get that out of the way then chewing, crate/kennel training and behavior modification comes in based on each individual puppy as they are all different. Then come the basics like sit, down, come, and of course walking on a leash. My objective is to help you learn how to communicate with your dog and train him/her into being the excellent member of your family household that I believe every dog has the ability to be.
Training adult dogs can be more tricky but I'll help you figure out what his or her currency is and how we can use that for training purposes to change behavior issues or for either basic obedience or more advanced commands. I can also help families with multiple dogs who may be experiencing "pack problems" or who need a better understanding of how their behaviors may be influencing problems between their dogs.
