What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
The 'secret' to keeping a party on the dance floor is a combination of asking about music preferences before the event, and paying attention to who the guests are. Prior planning is huge, but also being familiar with music across multiple genres and decades helps me play songs that are going to appeal to a wide audience. The music I play for a high school prom with a very narrow age range of guests is vastly different from what I will play at a wedding reception that will typically have children, grandparents, and all ages in-between.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I would describe my style as classy, but fun. I always take requests and I love interacting with guests. I am not, however, a night club DJ, and I do not excessively talk or banter on the mic. My goal is to play great music that keeps people dancing, and for guests to feel very comfortable coming up to talk with me at the DJ booth.
What do you love most about your job?
I get so much energy watching people respond to the music I'm playing - dancing and singing along at the top of their lungs to a great song.
Wedding & Event DJ
I provide music and sound for weddings, receptions and private events. I have a battery powered set up option that is perfect for outdoor wedding ceremonies. I also have different lighting choices, karaoke, and an iPad photo booth.
