Love, love, LOVE Aggieland Humane Society! We adopted our two fur babies from here, and both times we had an amazing experience. The dogs are well taken care of, the people who work/volunteer there are amazing and passionate about what they do, and they are great with answering any questions or concerns you may have. Though I probably won’t be adopting any more animals for a while, I can say the whole process ran smooth both times, and we were given “goodie bags” to go home with our dogs (a bag of food, a few coupons and free exam, treats, etc.) that made the first day home much easier for everyone. Love the fact people can go to you for pets, etc. JUST wish it didn't cost so I could take my 5 kittens that were born (-7-2019) so they could find homes also. It cost & I am on Social Security. The mother was dropped off here, I am keeping her but I can't the kittens. I have 5 cats already. Also I try to find homes for the abandon. A friend adopted 5 grown drop offs. More...

We adopted our sweet dog there several years back and he’s the life of the party at our place. Recently we’re trying to find a companion cat for our outdoor cat. We thought we had a good match but after 24 hours both cats let us know this wasn’t a good match. AHS was more than willing to take the kitty back to find a more appropriate forever home for her. It made me so grateful that just because we weren’t a good match they won’t give up on her or us! Love the facilities for cats and dogs. I adopted my dog, Annie, from Aggieland nearly two years ago after volunteering at the shelter for about a year and a half. The staff were great and even took the time to walk me around to each run and help me find the perfect match for me. Clean, polite staff, well run. Clear signage, friendly people. Atmosphere similar to a zoo or small farm. Easy process to identify and pick up a friend's dog that ran off. The staff helped calmly explain everything to the people involved and made them feel comfortable. The dog was well taken care of. The rates were very reasonable and they even microchipped the dog.
