. Scott is well educated and has a vast wealth of life experiences. More importantly for this field of work, he’s a good listener, patient and nonjudgmental. Never telling you what you should do but rather posing the questions one needs to ponder in order to consider changes that should be made. Asking the sometimes difficult questions that make you really think about what you want out of life, out of the dating scene or your education or whatever it is you might be struggling with. Perhaps even things you didn’t realize you were struggling with. I highly recommend giving him a try and if you’re truly open to l my asking change in your life, Scott can help facilitate it with you. More...

Scott brings life coaching into a bigger universe than most people imagine. He has a clear and practical perspective, but what makes him unique, and very valuable as an advisor, guide and friend, is the deep well of knowledge he draws on in thinking about human life. Can he address day to day practicalities? Yes. Can he address productivity and its blockages and help liberate your creative side. Yes.

Can most life coaches draw on European history and philosophy and centuries of exploration about what it means to be human? Well, not usually. Can they see human values and ideas of “the good life” and of relationships through the lens of another culture and its language? Scott can.

Why does this matter? Because in daily life and upbringing we receive messages over and over that shape our sense of what is possible. These define our perceived choices. Such life scripts may feel absolute, but they are not.

Scott has the experience to understand many kinds of life possibilities and he brings warmth, insight, and encouragement to human relationships. He is well suited to open new paths with you and help you explore them, to help you find a larger way to live.

I’ve known Scott since 2006, when we met at an artistic event at the Italian Cultural Institute, in Westwood. I had just started my PhD in Italian at UCLA. Scott’s advice and guidance throughout the years has been invaluable: he helped me to find a great piano teacher when my son was 5 and has showed an interest in my son’s musical journey ever since, suggesting artists, concerts and classical pieces that have helped my son develop his passion and enthusiasm for classical music. Scott has also helped me on many occasions to try to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and has been a great listener throughout the years. He is an extremely caring and generous person, and a great teacher who loves to share his passion for art, music, gastronomy and foreign languages. I am grateful to Scott for being such a good friend, colleague and advisor - an invaluable life coach - all these years. More...

I am blessed to call Scott a mentor and a trusted friend. I've known Scott for nearly a decade. Scott has helped guide me to different paths I never thought I'd be brave enough to explore. His love and knowledge of French culture is mind blowing; truly a cultured human being. When life has hit me in the gut, he was there as a confidant. Our conversations have always left me inspired to look deeper into my life. Scott is empathetic, positive and direct. He has all the right qualities to be an excellent life coach to anyone. More...

Scott has been my French tutor on occasion for the past few months. I have enjoyed those times very much. French, learning the language and appreciating the culture, is my lifelong hobby and goal. Scott is the perfect tutor to that end. His light-hearted approach to speaking French is fun. And his wealth of knowledge opens deeper understanding of the culture as well. I always look forward to our conversational sessions. More...

Working with Scott last year was an absolute blessing in disguise. What started out as a need to help my dogs turned into one of the greatest catalysts of change for myself seeing & talking to him about my then current issues and even helping me go back to school again after half a decade. Definitely someone I highly recommend and will forever be grateful to have met and worked with him. Thank you again Scott! More...

I have been a community college colleague of Scott's for several years and recommend him highly as a tutor/educator and a life coach. As a coach, he has an amazing ability to help young adults challenge their thinking, understand themselves better and see possibilities they hadn't imagined. As a teacher, he brings language alive. His love of French and the French culture is contagious, and students respond. They are genuinely excited to have Scott as their teacher. More...

My son and I started with Scott for help to walk dogs, soon we found he was a great LifeCoach. He is straight forward but very Empathic. He really gets to the bottom line quickly and suggests new ways to thing about things or breaks it down so you can even see others sides of a situation.
We appreciate his time and knowledge.

It was very helpful and provided him confidence to grow and understand the challenges in life. I’m grateful for his vast supports and time talking to him in person and by phone when needed. I’m happy to give if needed further recommendations by phone. I gave Scott the permission to share my number if necessary.

I've been meeting Scott for 1 hour sessions since 2018. My chats with him always result in a wider perspective of the world around me and gives me tools for interacting with it. Our sessions give me confidence and boost my mood, but they also challenge me and I think about our discussions well after we've hung up. He's never failed to show up for me and I know I can talk to him about anything without judgement. I value him deeply not only as a mentor but as a friend. More...

Scott has been an absolute blessing for our dog, Gypsy. After meeting him at the local dog park a few years back, we have used Scott time and time again. Whether it be for a day drop-off, or for a long weekend, Scott never fails to provide the best care for our little Gypsy girl. Scott takes his job incredibly serious by providing unlimited walks, fresh food, and plenty of love. My husband and I are serious when we say that Scott is a true "dog whisperer." He's truly the best dog sitter we've ever had, and we highly recommend him to anyone that is interested in someone they can trust. More...

I reviewed Scott as a French professor but as for his relationship with the dogs he watches, they are in doggy heaven at Scott’s house! They hang out during our French lessons and I get to see him in action with his charges often. He treats every dog like they are his own. He is gentle with them and makes sure everyone participates in getting playtime and walks. I’ve even left my elderly dog with Scott. Maurie was a handful but I completely trusted that Scott would take good care of him. Scott sent me photos of Maurie out on their “walks”. (Maurie had a stroller as he could no longer walk.) Your dog will be in the best care at chez Scott! More...

I am a “adult” student with a professional degree and Scott is one of the best professors I’ve ever had. First, he has an excellent education and background. Plus, he makes learning French fun and interesting and has a depth of knowledge of both French and English that adds so much to learning the language. He can explain all one’s “why” questions that a native French-speaking teacher usually cannot. I recommend him as a professor or tutor without reservations. More...

Scott's knowledge goes beyond the experts' in many fields. Each conversation with him shines warm light onto the darker corners of my ignorance and I leave a wiser human being. I'm a tenured professor at CSULB, and in mentoring students, I feel it necessary to nurture the influences that guide me. Scott keeps me on track intellectually and helps me maintain a healthy perspective! More...

Scott is our absolute most trusted person to watch our 9 year old jack russel/dachshund mix. Our dog is not super friendly with other dogs, but Scott's home has helped her become so socialized and it's truly become her second home. The joy she emits when she sees Scott (and Gigi too!) fills us to the brim. She is always very well cared for, exercised and loved. We very much recommend him if you're looking for a big heart to help care for your pup! More...

Scott is a wonderful sitter and neighbor and our dog Teddy absolutely loves spending time with him and his dog Gigi.
We always know Teddy is in good hands, that he'll not only be well looked after but he'll get all the love and attention he craves. We've worked with Scott for a few years now, and will continue to trust him with our own pets as well as recommend him to any family and friends who's pets need care! More...

I'm an adult brushing up on college French that I haven't used in a couple of decades and have hired Scott to tutor me weekly.
