What do you love most about your job?
I have been involved in the industry for over 25 years, I love the creative aspects of telling stories via the film medium. Over the years I have had an opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects with some very talented people.
In the commercial and consumer space, I find it interesting to work with people to produce the best product for them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started this new business because I saw that many Non-Profits were not well represented in the media. There is a need for them to inform the public about the incredible work they are doing. However, the services I can provide are not limited to that space or agenda.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have broad experience in many aspects of film making including: Producing, Directing,
Script Writing, Camera Operations, Sound Engineering, and Editing. I am flexible and easy to work with, yet, I pay attention to the small details that make the difference between poor and high quality productions.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
No, principal photography has to be done on site, the final edited product is typically a very large file and cannot be emailed or transferred online. Delivery is typically on a flash drive or DVD.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am fully vaccinated and take all precautions to guard my health and others.
Producer/Director
The Producer is the individual who creates the project, secures funding, talent, scripts, hires crew and oversees the vision of story.
The Director directs the talent, or in the case of a documentary, interviewers, camera operators,sound engineers, lighting, and grips.
Both positions can help you to streamline your project and convey your message in a concise manner.
Script Consultant
If your project has a script that you have written or a script writer has prepared for you, I can help you refine your script and to story board and define how it translates to the final product.
Camera Operator
I have had experience with multiple formats of cameras, the current, most desirable format is 4K and 5.1K or Ultra High Definition. I use Canon cameras because of their image quality. I also am a licensed drone pilot and the drones capture in 4K and 5.1K as well.
My camera kits includes Canon XF 605 broadcast camera,Canon G60 camera and a Canon G30 camera, professional tripod, wireless microphone kits and light kits.
The drones are two DJI Mavic Pros and the new DJI Mavic 3. The Mavic 3 is and AI device with hassenblad cameras.
Editing
The editing system is Final Cut Pro, a Mac based system that over the last 20 years has become one of the most used systems in the industry. 8 Tb of drive enables efficient source material access.
Part of the system is Compressor which allows the editor to encode your product for multiple avenues of distribution such as DVD, BlueRay, YouTube, Facebook and embedding on your website.
Aerial photos and video
Drones have opened up a new world of aerial cinema that was unaffordable for most small production companies. I am a former fixed wing pilot which gives me a different perspective than most pilots. I am a certified FAA Part 107 pilot.
ChromaKey
Green Screen production is common, however, it is often lacking in technical expertise. Proper background, lighting, sound, distance from screen and composition in the edit are all key factors.
