School of Thought is an independent full-service agency located in San Francisco’s historic Barbary Coast. Since 2009, our in-house production team has been delivering groundbreaking work for challengers across nearly every industry.
By staying small and nimble, we’ve been able to cut through the extra layers to tell more compelling stories for our partners—across all channels, including television, digital, social, video, OOH and print. We also do media planning and event activations.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety of projects. And the feeling we get when we've made a difference for our clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started a newspaper in Fiji at age ten, so I guess you could say, creating content (and being an entrepreneur) has always been in my blood. I worked at some enormous ad agencies and companies: Adobe, McCann SF, Ogilvy NY and Gooby, to name a few. Every place has tradeoffs, but I prefer having a smaller, nimble team.
Why should our clients choose you?
Following up on the last point: we can get things done, well, in the time it takes most shops to open a PO. For example, Cisco asked us to help them stand out at Mobile World Congress. The challenge was, it was in Barcelona, in only five weeks. We brainstormed dozens of ideas, presented a handful, and then produced a breakthrough guerilla activation which drove 3 MM engagements in social media in less than two weeks.
Now, I don't love to wear running shoes every day, but it's rare to have an accountable partner, somebody strong in creative and storytelling, who can move like this.
We've also become very good at crafting short videos for our clients. And because our video team is in-house, we can do it efficiently.
Everything
We started as a creative boutique. We now do just about everything. Content. Branding. Campaigns. Media. Video. Sites. Events.
