Alex has talent as a photographer that goes far beyond an eye for composition, lighting, and shadow. His landscapes capture the raw essence of a place -- they evoke feeling and personality. His portraits are beautiful and honest and profound. Looking into the eyes of his subjects betrays a lifetime of secrets and stories. That's a figure of speech, really, because his photographs of hands, wrinkles, smiles, feet, and backs all do the same. Alex (Sattva Photo) has done sessions with my family and I for the past 3 years on Christmas.
