Please let me first introduce myself. My name is Lauren Trichter and I’m a Canine Behaviorist and Dog Trainer.
During my extensive 28 year career, I’ve successfully worked with many dog owners and their pets on behavior modification to accomplish such goals as obedience training (on and off leash), proper dog etiquette whether at home or in public as well as the special training required for therapy and service dogs.
A majority of my clients have come from veterinary clinics and satisfied customers who have referred me to patients, friends, neighbors, etc. and I’m happy to say that many of my clients have become close friends.
I train dogs of all breeds and ages. I start training puppies as early as seven weeks to elderly dogs who might require assistance dealing with hearing or vision loss. I strive to teach my clients how to solve their dog’s unwanted behavioral issues and educate them as to the “WHY” they are having these problems while we work together to resolve them.
The first lesson is conducted in the client’s home. By carefully listening and observing, training is designed to coincide with each family’s particular need and life style. All training is done through positive reinforcement, appropriate voice tone, body language, vocabulary, consistency, playfulness and realistic expectations of their dog. The ultimate goal for my clients in training is to build a strong, loving and long lasting bond with their loyal, trusted pet companions and to create a happy, stress free and peaceful environment in their home.
Fortunately, my fun, enthusiastic personality enables me to work with almost any dog owner and I’ve been a member of the IACP (International Association for Canine Professionals) for my entire career. My firm belief is; “Set a dog up to do it right, and he will never learn to do it wrong!” The rewards are a brave, balanced, happy dog that radiates self-assurance.
