Commercial & Corporate Photographers

Sarah went above and beyond in collaborating with me! Due to budget reasons, I had to art-direct my branding photo shoot myself. We had several discussions about location, lighting, etc. She was open and willing to make any location I chose work, but she also gave me her professional opinion and let me know what she would need as the photographer.

On the day of the shoot, she was on time, with a very positive attitude. It was easy to relax in her company. Her lighting setup was top-notch - which is Extremely important in photo shoots!! Many photographers don't even use professional lighting equipment of any kind... I've had that type of photo shoot and it doesn't work!!! You need a true professional who brings all of the equipment if you want branding photos to turn out well.

And mine did... it was very difficult to choose among so many excellent shots.

Sarah is a true professional and a wonderful human being. I highly recommend her!

Headshot Photographers

Sarah is an incredibly easy person to work with. She spent just the right amount of time working with me. I happen to be a blinker so it's always hard for a photographer to catch me when my eyes are open. She was never judgmental about all that blinking. In fact, she was the opposite. She made it feel perfectly normal and indicated we would just get past it. In the end my blinking became a joke that we both laughed at. I would recommend Sarah to anyone for whatever image they need, whether for business or personal. More...

Q&As

I don't think there are any secrets to photography. I believe the best place to start is with a solid vision of what the client is trying to achieve, using the skills and tools I've built up over time to realize that vision, and some flexibility thrown in to adjust the goals along the way as we work through the process together and see that tweeks to the original ask will lead to a stronger overall image.

What is your business' vision and strategy?
What problems do your products or services solve for your clients?
How should we / do we convey the answers to the above two questions into imagery?
In what context will these images be used?
Does your business have a certain style or aesthetic that needs to come through in the imagery?

Meeting and helping small business owners (just like me) solve their business problems through creative still and moving imagery.

To me, you never get a second chance to make a first impression for your customers. For many businesses, that first impression is their website, their product listing on Amazon, or social media accounts, especially as fewer people are going into retail outlets or restaurants these days. As I look at the images posted on these sites, I'm surprised at the lack of effort many business owners take to showcase their products. Poorly lit and poorly composed images are a red flag to me. If a business isn't making an effort to make their products look attractive to their customers, what kind of effort will they put into customer service if something goes wrong? I want to help as many small business owners as I can avoid this trap.

My 25+ year background managing projects in corporate environments has sharpened the following skills: listening, identifying my customer's requirements, probing those requirements for the underlying issues they are trying to solve, and creating a solid plan for meeting my client's needs.

If I can get pick up the products or have them delivered, I can conduct the photoshoot remotely in my fully equipped studio. We can agree on a time for the shoot so the customer can participate remotely through zoom if desired. I also have access to a bar and wine cellar for beverage customers looking for images in those settings.

Instituting mask wearing during photoshoots and using zoom for remote art direction have worked well. (And plenty of hand washing / hand sanitizer!)

Services

Social Media Package which includes twenty to thirty (20 - 30) images to use for one month of daily posting on social media. Images will be sized for use on Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter. Full resolution images will be provided for your use.

This package includes a 30 - 45 minute consultation/brainstorming session and a 4 - 8 hour photoshoot depending on the complexity of the images. The photoshoot can take place at your business location or in my studio, with hands on or remote art direction as needed.

Images on a solid white backdrop for use on your website, product sheets, Amazon, Etsy or other online store. Images will be appropriately sized for online use, but full resolution images will be provided.

Includes a short consultation to discuss your requirements: image usage, views desired, style of photos desired. Photoshoot will occur in my studio with remote art direction as needed.

A photoshoot with you and your team. Formal portraits on a solid color background or more "in the moment" portraits capturing your team in action...you decide.

This package includes a 30 - 45 minute consultation / brainstorming session to discuss your needs and storyboard ideas to make your vision come to life.

Photos of 10 - 15 menu items for use on food delivery platforms, websites, print menus, social media, etc. These would be shot in one or two set ups (a set up = similar styling / props, backdrop, lighting arrangement).

The Menu package includes a 30 - 45 minute consultation/brainstorming session and a 4 - 6 hour photoshoot depending on the complexity of the desired images. The photoshoot would take place at your business location.

Deliverables would be 20 - 30 images sized for use on the web. Full resolution images will be provided for your use.

I know the above scenarios won't meet everyone's needs, so let's meet to discuss what you are looking to accomplish and how I might be able to help!
