Kentaro Minato is an accomplished international photographer located in Los Angeles, California. With over a decade of experience, Kentaro’s portfolio includes family, editorial, commercial, headshots and fashion catalog shoots. He’s worked with professional musicians, fashion models and actors, discovering a knack and gift for working with local people, culture and family.
Driven by the joy of seeing his photos bring happiness, laughter and fulfillment to his clients, Kentaro’s passion is capturing the treasured moments of family and life—the smiles of a new family, a wedding love stare, a 50th-anniversary hug between partners. Beholden to the belief we’re our most beautiful in our most natural states, Kentaro’s patience and innate understanding of bliss, combined with his down-to-earth, fun and playful personality, have a surefire way of capturing life’s most precious moments.
Born and raised in Yamaguchi, Japan, Kentaro spent the last decade traveling the globe living out his passion for surfing, photography and having a good time. He’s happiest teasing out the beautiful smile of his lovely daughter, Yuna Sonabel.
