We had a lovely afternoon sail (with the wine tasting)! We were in town for our first anniversary, and the wine tasting sail was the perfect outing. We were with another few couples and the crew of 2. Our captain was genial and welcoming, and my husband even got to help hoist the sails!We also lucked out to have a beautiful day perfect for sailing, and there was a historic sailboat race in progress! My daughter and I had a wonderful experience sailing on the Selina II. The boat is a beautiful vessel. The scenery on the Chesapeake is spectacular, and having the opportunity to see it from the water is something we will always remember. The captain of the Selina II made our excursion comfortable as well as informative with her knowledge of the harbor and the beautiful estates along Lewes Creek. We had an excellent wine tasting during our trip which was especially appreciated on a chilly day. Thank you Paul!! To celebrate our second Babymoon, I had scheduled a week in St. Michaels with my wife & two year old son. Our time spent on the Selina II with Captain Chris & his First Mate, Paul, was by far the best part of our vacation. Not only were they knowledgeable & experienced in their craft, they were such well rounded people. My husband and I spent a sunny Sept. afternoon with Capt. Chris and his first mate. This was our second sail on the Salina II. Enjoyed it so much last year that we came back, only this time had the boat to ourselves which was not only lucky but very relaxing. Capt Chris and Elizabeth made our sunset cruise the highlight of our stay in Maryland. They were simply fantastic hosts. Yes the nearly 100 year old wooden catboat was stunningly beautiful and meticulously maintained. But when the engines were cut and we were under sail, all the noise and stresses were replaced with champagne, hors d’oeuvres, conversation and a lovely sunset on the water. I sailed twice on the Selina II during my stay at St Michael’s. I’m guessing anyone reading will understand what it means to sail twice on the same boat during the same stay.
