I had never considered doing a boudoir photo shoot. I saw a post on Facebook looking for women with tattoos. I was very nervous because I had gained weight in the last year, and wasn't feeling very attractive. Ryan reminded me that sexy is a mindset. No matter what age or size I am, it's possible to be comfortable with myself. After a few minutes during my session, I was completely relaxed. I didn't have to worry about anything. Ryan guided me the entire time. He was very professional and very easy to talk to. The photos came out amazing! It's possible to see myself as an attractive woman now. Working with Ryan was better than I could have imagined. I was nervous going into my session, having never done boudoir, and Ryan eased all of my nerves. He sent me options/examples of poses and also helped me recreate the poses that worked best for me. He's also hilarious!! To make things even better, my photos came out amazing. Having a boudoir shoot can be one of the most intimidating things ever, but Ryan made the experience so comfortable. I recently did something for myself. 👏👏👏 It wasn't out of a need to make noise, or to do something so I could feel sexy, or to impress my husband (or any of you), or to cover up insecurities. Quite the opposite. This was a purposeful act, something that has taken quite some time due to two things: 1) Working hard over the past couple of years to accept and heal some deep-seeded personal wounds from the past that I had buried so deep I forgot they even existed, and 2) having to find the right photographer. And I DID! Ryan Reid Photography gave me the hugest gift. This was all for me. It was a moment of empowerment. Being in control and acceptance of my own body, my self and my surroundings, with someone I trust and who is there to support me, to bring my vision to life....
