The story begins a few months ago when my neighbor calls to tell me that the animals have been munching on my fireplace chimney. So I head out to the backyard and, ah crap, he was right. I had been meaning to get that thing painted anyway, so it was time to call for help. Because I ain't going up on that roof. I tried it once. Had to call my wife to come hold the ladder for me so I could get back down. But I digress... I don't often need work done on the house, so I didn't have anybody in mind. Did a quick search and found Ron. He came out that evening, and his trained eye found all of those other things that I had been deferring -- siding around a box window, some trim that needed replacing, and some painting. All of those things that I only thought about when I was standing directly in front of them. At the end of it all, we had a list of those things and a reasonable quote. He worked me into the schedule, and this whole Coronavirus mess, and he and his team did a fantastic job. New Hardie Board siding and trim on the fireplace chimney and box window, repairs to the trim on the house, and new paint. He even breathed new life into a front door that had been baking in the sun for 27 years by giving it a good sand and paint. Ron and his wife Brenda are super nice people, and will stay in constant communication as the job progresses. We plan on working with them again! More...
