Working with Simon at Royal Home Builders Inc was a true partnership.I started my project with another company who disappointed and underdelivered. I was apprehensive about having to find another team but from the moment I met Simon and explained what I had previously experience, all my insecurities went away. Not only is Simon concise, he's also knowledgeable, reasonable and has a team of efficient and timely workers who's work is as neat as their demeanor. I was delighted every time I went into my bedroom and saw the progress they were making. My house is 100 years old, with many empty pockets that needed to be fixed, yet  Simon remained on the budget. At the end we added a master bathroom to the master bedroom + a walk in closet and  also revamped my main bathroom. All which ended up looking flawless. Finding true professionals with strong work ethic has been one of the biggest challenges I've faced as a home owner in LA. Meeting Simon has been the best thing- I've already recommended his company to my friends and family. I cannot speak enough good things about the end result. I love my new bathroom!  Royal Home Builders did a fine job.  Mr. Simon was my contact and really listened to what I wanted for the design.  His crew was always professional and usually on time.  The work took a couple weeks longer than planned but this was not the fault of Royal Home Builders.  A change in the framing required a smaller window which Mr. Simon addressed and was able to get a window frame replacement in about 3 weeks. Their website is ok and the guy who dealt with me seems sincere. It was hard-earned money that I had to spend. Thus I was very careful and made sure they are legit. There were ups and downs. And the delay of approval from the city was causing me stress. But Gilbert reassured me that he was on top of it and constantly following up in the city.There were 5 stages of approval and they prepared for every single inspection thoroughly. Making sure that everything was according to the city code.I wasn't happy with the architect's plan. It was like a template downloaded but Gilbert made it work. He tried to appease my doubts in other ways like making sure the construction went well.They cleaned up each and every day after work. They did a very good dust control protocolAnd barely disrupted our everyday lives while I and my housemates live in the house. I received 5 quotes on my kitchen remodel and it wasn't hard decision at all because Royal Home Builders gave me best quality-price ratio and they are most reliable contractor. Simon arrived with his crew on scheduled date, early in the morning and they worked hard from first day, to end of this remodeling project. I hired Royal Home Builders to fully remodel my home. I also contacted many other contractors but Royal gave me best quality-price ratio and they were available in most acceptable time. Simon and his team started this big project on scheduled date. They worked hard every day and project was finished on time. Royal Home Builders renovated my 2 bathrooms. Simon gave me very acceptable estimate, I also contacted some other contractors but Simons offer was best of them all. The project started on time and it was my best remodeling experience I have ever had and I worked with many contractors in the past. Simon kept costs within my budget, gave me valuable ideas and also carefully listened my suggestions and requests. He and his team finished this project on time and quality is great as expected. After I contacted several contractors on my kitchen remodel and Royal Home Builders gave me best quality-price ratio so I decided to go with them. I worked with Gilbert to have a skylight installed in my kitchen. He was able to meet with me right away and give me an estimation. Within two weeks he was able to have his team come over and install the skylight in 3 days. The team worked efficiently and were highly communicative. Highly recommend! Overall I'm very satisfied with the outcome. I worked with Gilbert who was the project manager and he really went out of his way to accommodate every issue we had a long the way. No control over their workers and left my home a mess with food and bottles of soda everywhere. They lie and don't take ownership for anything. They are also super confrontational when you complain. Hired this company in 2020 to work on my leaky roof. They recommended putting new gutters and repairing the roof where it was needed. Spent well over 10k on this project. Soon as the rains came, the house leaked BAD. Called and texted so many times. Finally when i got through they used the covid excuse and delayed any meetings. Meanwhile the entire city of LA people are working and doing construction. You mean to tell me you can't send a couple of your workers here with masks to even look at my situation?   Til this day they've not called or come through to fix the problem. Why not?? They have my number, why wouldn't you call your clients and see what's going on, how you can make things right? As if we're going to forget about it. I guess they were right. I moved on to another company. I don't trust there work/word anymore.Side note: I learned a lesson dealing with this company though. Red flags all over the place. Stupid me. Do your research on this company. It's interesting. Another thing, the guys who came for the consultation, total gift of gab types, oh trust us, we'll take care of you, stuff like that. They actually looked me in the eye and said he'll guarantee the roof for a lifetime.  I was an idiot. Let this be a warning, these guys are no roofers. I had some real pros come here and they scuffed at the terrible work that was done. From what I gather, this company does other things for your home, but as far as roofing goes they did a terrible job on mine. I highly recommend Royal Home Builders for home improvement projects. I hired them to do some termite repair and painting for the exterior of my house. They also painted the interior and completely gutted and remodeled an upstairs bathroom. Loved that they always called first before showing up. Especially loved that they worked very hard to protect my hardwood floors and the parts of the house they were not working on. Everyone was very respectful and showed up in a mask and worked in a mask as well as practicing social distancing.  They went out of their way to get me exactly what I wanted especially in the bathroom remodel.  Their customer service is top notch. I Meet Simon at a dinner event I went too with my husband about one year ago and we spoke a bit that evening at the event. He told me that he is a general contractor that specializes in building ADU and I took his number.I told him we were looking into building an ADU for this house in Long Beach that we are looking to remodel and sell this upcoming year and we understood it would bring the value of the house up in about $160,000 which is totally great!! And it did!!!! It's totally worth inviting in money wise.So I decided to schedule a meeting with him to come down and see the house in Long Beach.Simon sure has a great memory he remembered me and said of course I'll come to check it out.So I meet with him at the house about 8 months ago He was really a nice gentleman very professional.He saves you lots of time since he does the permit for everything and create the 3D design with taking care of the plans.The ADU we did is a two story and he designed the space amazingly so it wouldn't feel small he really knew how to locate everything to look beautiful and comfortable.After he pulled all the permits needed and saved us the headache of dealing with that once the permit were good to go, it only took him two months to build it.He also was really nice and saved us money to buy appliances he gave us new appliances for free, which was super nice of him!!!He also got us 50% back on the plans which also saved us a lot of money.Simon really knows what he is doing and him and his team are really professional!Trough out the project he made sure we will know everything and kept us updated about everything! An ADU is a really complicated project and I think it's very important to find a contractor that has been doing this for a long time so that you will get beautiful results plus that the project won't take forever to get done!So if your looking for an ADU contractor this gaudy definitely your man for the job!!!Thank you again to everyone on your team for their hard work , we really appreciate and value the work you done for us! When I initially dealt this company all dealings with it were positive. Within a week after completion of the project I began to have issues with some of the materials that they had used in the project. I reached out to them and they scheduled an appointment to send someone out to look at the work. On the scheduled day, the worker showed up and agreed that the issue needed to be fixed. Another appointment was scheduled to fix the issue, but no one showed up. I called numerous times and was always told that they would call back to reschedule the appointment to fix their mistake. Each time I never a received a call back.At this point I'm not sure I will ever have the issue that they created corrected. This is concerning to me because I am a senior and feel that I am being ignored by this company.I cannot in good conscious recommend Royal Home Builders. They were quick to to take my money (which was substantial) but refuse to stand behind their workmanship. Buyer beware! More...

Horrible customer service!  I set up an appointment for a consultation. I informed the young lady on the phone that I had worked with Simon in the past.  She had the nerve to question me regarding if the company had actually done work for me.  She claimed to have looked me up in her system and said she could not find my name.  Why would I not tell the truth about that?  She further provided me with Simon's last name and again questioned if I had the correct company.  She said she need to "verify" me.  We went through a verbal exchange which went nowhere, ending with her stating "do you want service or not".  HORRIBLE!  I just hung up!  Beware something weird is going on with this company.Update: How someone who was not apart of my conversation can state accurately any part of that conversation escapes me.   Typical response, when another party is clearly was wrong; the other party must have "I mis-understood".  No!  I wrote exactly what was stated to me. Yes, I worked with Simon in 2016, I provided your old address from my paperwork; 6016 Whitsett Ave, North Hollywood. This information was provided as way for your company to "verify" me.  Like I stated.  I had already provided my street address, my name and confirmed at time.  Your company clearly has issues.  Everyone beware!  There is something obviously wrong. I worked recently with RHB and Gilbert on a kitchen and bathrooms remodel.  I was initially cautious about the whole process but Gilbert was very helpful and asked what my goals were with the remodel. I never felt pressured to move forward on a remodel that didn't make financial sense.  He kept the communication lines open with me and the contractors who were all polite and respectful while in my home.  I would definitely recommend this company to others looking to get their remodeling projects done. From the beginning really liked how they used face masks given COVID19. Also really liked how fast they responded to our bathroom remodel request. They responded to my home advisor request the same day to set up a free quote. They gave me the price on the spot. When we decided to go with their company they were able to start the following week. They stuck as close to the timeline given the circumstances and changes made throughout the remodel. They also had constant communication throughout the process ensuring we knew who was coming, to do what, and when. They did well cleaning up all of their construction work each day as I have 2 young kids so cleaning up at the end of each work day was a big deal for us. I gave a 4 out of 5 though as the price for plumbing changed substantially during the remodel. We did do a plumbing change (moving toilet) which was not discussed in the quote so I understand a price increase for that. However the other plumbing work (double vanity, move of shower plumbing) was discussed in the beginning and they told us after the plumbing was done that the price was being increased for those as well. It should be said though that even with the price increase they still were fair with the cost of everything else. Though there was some miscommunication with the plumbing cost, we would still choose to use Royal again for when we redo our master bathroom.
