What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Photography sessions always start with a conversation. I like to understand how people see themselves and what they value. I listen to their perspectives and ask about their life experiences, to help me craft the images I'll design and capture.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a young man living on the East Coast decades ago, my career in photography focused almost exclusively on product and commercial studio work – rarely ever shooting people. During my last couple of decades spent on the West Coast in technology marketing, I’ve crafted many narratives around business, customer success, and the impact of software. Today, putting photography and writing together, I’ve come to appreciate the uniqueness of each person’s life experiences, perspectives, story — and face. I’m focusing again on producing unique images.

While photography must be done in-person, of course, I offer a service to digitally restore older, faded, or damaged photographs using Photoshop and new A.I. tools. It's amazing to see how those older images can be salvaged and recovered.
