Rocky Mountain Skylights to the rescue!! We were left in a bind because another skylight company bailed on us at the last minute, and when I reached out to Ean, he was very eager to help us. We were getting a new roof installed because of the hail storm back in June, and we were also remodeling our kitchen (including vaulting the ceiling and installing a skylight). The other skylight company was supposed to install the skylight the same day that the roof was being installed, but that didn't happen.Ean worked with our roofing company to have them come back and tear off the new shingles around where the skylight was to be installed. Do you know how difficult it is to get a roofing company to come back to a property given the number of roofs they're replacing?!?! This was done to preserve our roofing warranty. Furthermore, when Ean and the roofing company did come back on the scheduled date, it was too cold to do the work, and despite a "wasted" trip from Denver to our home in Boulder County, Ean pushed to reschedule because he knew it was best for the shingles and the roof overall. Granted, communication wasn't the most prompt, as you'll read in other reviews. But in doing our remodel, I'm finding that subpar communication seems to be the trend in the area, whether it's a general contractor, HVAC folks, plumbers, electricians, etc. To their credit, Rocky Mountain Skylight probably would not have taken on our project initially because they just didn't have the room in their schedule, so I imagine that impacted the timeliness of communication. However, Ean's willingness to squeeze us into an already packed schedule is to be commended. Our entire remodel project was halted until the skylight was installed, so had Ean not agreed to do the work, I'm not sure what we would have done instead.Without question, I am recommending Ean and Rocky Mountain Skylight for your skylight needs. Rocky Mountain Skylights did a great job - Ian installed two solar tubes in our kitchen. They look great and the light into the kitchen is amazing. They were easy to work with and charged us less than the bid because our rafters prevented installation of the larger tubes we requested. The smaller ones work great. Ian did great work for us today. We live in an old home with an old skylight in the Wash Park neighborhood. The job required several additional hours than estimated and Ian did a great job at no additional cost. Highly recommend!
