Robbie Leppzer is an award-winning documentary film director, director of photography, location sound recordist, and editor with forty years experience producing over thirty television and public radio documentaries for national and international distribution. His feature- length and short documentaries, as well as commissioned television news magazine segments, about contemporary social issues have been broadcast by CNN International, NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation), the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, HBO/ Cinemax, PBS, CNN, Sundance Channel, HDNet, Link TV, Free Speech TV, National Public Radio, and Pacifica Radio.

In addition, Leppzer works as a freelance videographer and location sound recordist. His broadcast television clients include CNN International, CNN, PBS, HBO, Spike Lee, HDNet, CBC, Aljazeera, New England Cable News Network, Bloomberg Television, E! Entertainment, The Learning Channel, Washington Post.com, Democracy Now, WGBH (PBS, Boston) and WGBY-TV (PBS, Springfield, MA).

Since 1985, Leppzer has been director of Turning Tide Productions, a documentary video production company located in Wendell, Massachusetts.

Wedding Videography

Robbie Leppzer first began filming weddings as his personal gift to friends who were getting married in the 1980s. After realizing how much fun it is to film these joyful ceremonies, he decided to add weddings to his professional repertoire of digital video services.

Robbie brings a seasoned television documentary filmmaker’s eye to his shooting of wedding ceremonies. Robbie’s forte is filming the fabric of everyday life—a story as it unfolds— knowing intuitively those precious moments to capture. He is very sensitive with people and has developed to an art how to film as unobtrusively as possible, yet shooting intimate, personal documentary footage.
