My little mutt just went for her first weekend boarding experience and had a total blast! Loved getting her "report card" and hearing about her adventures and new friendships in daycare. Dr. Nassar is an excellent veterinarian- and I'm so grateful to her for taking quick action to save my sweet Labrador's life a few weeks ago. Zeke quickly fell ill and rapidly became dehydrated. She admitted him to administer fluids, and took xrays to identify a foreign object he had eaten. She also referred me to an excellent surgeon and made arrangements for Zeke to receive the prompt surgical treatment that saved his life. I am very grateful to her for stepping in, identifying the issue and implementing a strong care plan, and would highly recommend her to fellow pet parents! More...

I have used Roaring Brook Kennels since day one with our Goldendoodle, Gracie. They have been WONDERFUL to Gracie (and us) for twelve years! Gina is a fantastic groomer, not to mention always very kind and accommodating. Line the rest of the RBK staff, she is truly dedicated to the service and welfare of animals. My pet rabbit got very sick and needed immediate care and since we had just moved I had not brought her to a vet yet. If you have rabbits you know it is very hard finding a good and responsible doctor to treat them. I called several veterinary clinics in CT. I explained my rabbit’s symptoms but everyone was too busy, they ‘weren’t taking new clients’, or the doctor who cares for rabbits wasn’t working there anymore, etc. I called Roaring Brook Veterinary Hospital and told them the same story I told everyone else. They’re schedule was completely booked, but the receptionist said she would explain the situation to the doctor and get back to me. The receptionist called me back and told me the doctor said that my rabbit needed immediate care and would find time to see her that day. Throughout the day I was given updates on my rabbit. After thorough testing and a round of ex-rays they discovered my rabbit had a large urinary stone lodged inside her. With a change in diet, pain meds, and an antibiotic we had to treat my rabbit for a week to see if her urinary stone broke down. If not she would need expensive surgery. The doctor and the technicians were very good at explaining everything and seemed to genuinely care about my rabbit. Everyone there is super nice! After a week the urinary stone had in fact broken down but because her calcium levels were still high we continued to treat her with antibiotics to keep her from getting an infection. With the treatment my rabbit showed immediate improvement. Now she’s back to her usual spunky and happy self! I was also very impressed with how clean the facility was and how professional the staff is. Five stars! More...

I would give more than 5 stars if it were possible! My dogs have boarded and been in daycare at Roaring Brook for many years and I have been nothing but pleased with the care they received. The head groomer is fantastic!! She has meticulously groomed my dogs (collies, not the easiest breed to groom) for two decades. They have all been happy to go for their "spa" days every month, love her, look fantastic when they come home. More...

I can't say enough good things about Roaring Brook Kennels, as well as Roaring Brook Vet. We have several cats who we boarded at the kennel for a couple of days when we moved. They were so well cared for. The practice cared for all of our cats and our dog. They provided the best quality, compassionate care for our pets throughout all stages of their lives. And then there's their groomer, Gina. Best. Groomer. Ever. She truly cares for all of her furry clients and is truly the best in her field with both dogs and cats. I took our puppy Walter here to remove one last staple from a surgery and get an exam. We had an awful, unforgivable experience at a previous veterinarian so Walter was quite nervous to have someone go near that staple again. Everyone at Roaring Brook was incredibly kind and understanding, and the doctor took so much time just getting to know Walter and making him comfortable before examining him and removing the staple. I was impressed with his genuine work to make my puppy relaxed. I am so relieved to find a veterinarian practice close by that we can trust whole-heartedly. Most compassionate and knowledgeable vets and staff. Before vet visit dragon couldn't open eyes..was not doing to hot... after leaving vet she had eyes open they helped her and explained procedures and treatment with me as well as diagnosis and follow up care on prognosis. I am happy because they were professional and while I paid for everything it appears they waived intial appointment fee which also was helpful since after military injury have only been able to work part time and they take care credit. First time a vet visit was peaceful and not traumatic for me or animal. Keeping as vet they care about animals over everything and if yours is like family to you..then you will appreciate them as much as I do. Roaring Brook is an awesome place to take your pet. We have been taking our rescue dog there for about 2 years. I love getting the email reminders when he has vaccinations or check ups due and being able to make the appointment online. The office is very clean and the staff is very friendly. We are always seen promptly and they take good care of my dog who can be a bit rambunctious in these situations. When we have had an emergency (dog eating something he wasn't supposed to, exhibiting a weird behavior, etc) Roaring Brook has made the time to see him on short notice and make sure he is okay, which we really appreciate. They are also great with paperwork and are happy to send your updated vaccination record to wherever your might kennel your dog. More...

We had an amazing first experience with our new golden doodle puppy. The staff was very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. We were seen right away at our appointment time, and Dr. Begg did a fantastic job.
