I’ve been getting headshots for over 15 years and Rachel is BY FAR my favorite photographer. As an actor herself, she knows how to communicate with her client to truly capture what makes you unique; what makes you YOU. Her set up is thorough and cozy - with parking, a bathroom, beauty lights, ample space for wardrobe, and multiple backdrops including hand painted textures. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I think for both parties (in front of or behind the camera) it's all about intention and authenticity. Know why you're doing what you're doing and then be you.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I would ask questions regarding the purpose of the project as well as the priorities within their vision or goals. I have several consultation calls with my clients where we brainstorm, collaborate, and generally make sure we are on the same page. I also have a questionnaire I send to each client that asks some pointed questions that help me get a better understand of what you are going for.
What do you love most about your job?
I thrive in creative environments. I love helping people and small businesses. I fell in love with photography as a form of storytelling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been a creative and in the arts my whole life. But, I've always had to have a day job to support myself. Then one day I was laid off! Through the struggle and the fear I decided to take a leap and have a little faith in myself and my passion. And here we are!
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a problem solver. I love taking a client's vision and making it happen. My style of directing a photoshoot seems to be a highlight for my clients. I am empathetic and playful and always hardworking!

The photoshoots are obviously in person. However, the images will be delivered online.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I fully sanitize the studio before and after every session, I will wear a mask if requested, I am vaccinated, and some clients prefer to shoot outdoors for Covid concerns. I will always do my best to make my clients feel safe and comfortable.
