This is an AMAZING company and group of animal caretakers.  We have been with PB for 4 years and have always felt safe and secure having their caretakers caring for our pets with daily visits as well as staying in our home.  We have 2 cats and 2 dogs and their staff treat each and everyone like their own.  In particular, one of our dogs has undergone a few illnesses that included crate rest, rehab and special medication and PB was always able to come through on helping to heal our pets back to health. We had to find a petsitter for a long trip due to not being able to bring our cats for the first time since space was very limited in the car. I was referred to ProspectBArk! by a friend in the neighborhood, as in the past we've had friends stop by and this time it was during Christmas and New Years when most friends would be out of town. We were responded to quickly, which was not the case with other neighborhood sitting services, and assigned an amazing pet sitter to put it lightly! Zac came for a meet-and-greet exactly at the time we'd arranged and obviously took the job very seriously from the beginning. The daily photos and check-ins via WhatsAPP were so nice and at a consistent time, and he went above and beyond by agreeing to change one of the days very last minute due to our change in travel plans, and also carrying four extremely heavy packages upstairs for us! I was shocked to see that when we got home. He was also very neat and tidy and the apartment looked as nice or better than when we'd left it. I've been a client of RiversideBArk since 2014. My geriatric cat, Cassie, was diagnosed as diabetic, and instead of just having a friend just hang out with her and her brother, Napoleon Dynamite, I needed professional visits who could give a cranky cat her insulin shots twice a day. They succeeded, and even when my pet sitter left the company, they still found me a great sitter (believe me when I tell you, she was NOT easy). Cassie passed, but I still use RivB for visits, as there is accountability and communication surrounding my pets' well-being - now Napoleon and his little brother Wilmer Flores. Love Prospect Bark! I have been a client since 2009 and have been very happy with their services. Since the business employs many sitters, you know you will be covered, no matter what. All the sitters who have taken care of our two cats over the years have been kind, professional, and experienced (one of our cats had to have regular injections for diabetes and it was no problem). Updating my review, as I still use ProspectBark! 5 years after my original review, and I still love them! Diego has been our walker for the past few years now, and he's lovely and great with my dog, as are the other walkers who have filled in here and there other the years when there's been a need. With a new puppy, it takes a village. Chun-Soon and her team made me feel like I wasn't completely crazy for getting a puppy. She is extremely kind and was willing to talk through and sort out all of my puppies needs, and thought of things that I didn't. My walkers Tom and Lori are great! and Cleo loves them! Having a dog in the city isn't easy, and having a large, energetic dog can be even harder.  ProspectBArk made caring for our Rhodesian ridgeback puppy so much less stressful and put our minds at ease when we had to be away.  Ben, our walker, is extremely reliable and came to take out our pup twice a day.  She has had quite a few medical needs in her young life and Ben was always mindful of those. He sent text updates each and every time he took her out, put her coat on in the winter months and wiped her paws on rainy days.  He brought her a fun toy on her birthday and in the 15 months that we've had our pup, Ben has only taken one vacation!  Once Ben even picked up our girl from a Rover stay because we were stuck in traffic and were running about an hour late for pick-up.  The Rover person watching our pup would not receive a great review from me, but I will sing Ben's praises as well as Prospect Bark's any day of the week! I haven't used their services because I live in the Bronx but based on what I read in their website -  I am really impressed with their compassion and sensitivity to cats and dogs. I was deeply moved with Al the homeless cat and all the advocacy that was executed to get him a fundraising page for his medical care.  I wish they would have a branch in the Bronx and the other boroughs such as Queens & Staten Island.  I love the idea that the sitters are also certified in first aid. I have yet to have the opportunity to actually work with ProspectBArk but I feel the need to give them 5 stars already because of the level of quality customer service I've received. I have an 8 month old puppy that I'm struggling to potty train and seriously need help with so I filled out an intake form on the ProspectBArk website for their puppy package. I wrote in the message box that I was desperate for help because my puppy was not understanding potty training and I wasn't sure how much longer I could take it. :( The owner of the company called me and spent an hour of her personal time consulting me on this issue. She asked all of the right questions and gave me more than enough advice when dealing with a new puppy with my busy schedule. She even told me that if her trainers schedule doesn't open up soon, I should hire someone else who is available to help write away. She also gave me her home phone number to reach out whenever I needed more advice. Honestly this phone call was a breath of fresh air. I had read so many articles about potty training gone wrong and did not find a single answer that applied to my specific situation. I was afraid that I would have to give my poor baby away soon because I could not get her properly trained. I now see a light at the end of the tunnel and I'm hoping to use the advice I was given to continue working towards training my baby. More...

My puppy was very nervous and anxious to walk with someone he didn't know at first, but my walker was patient and encouraging. She came by every day until he was comfortable with her. This place is great! You can tell they really care about the pets they are in charge of - our regular walker, Anna, is the absolute BEST! She not only takes great care of and loves our pup, she oftentimes checks up on our kitty too (even without asking her to!).   We've also worked with Matt and Grace who were also awesome.  AND to top it all off, they've always been super accommodating and always come through, even when we've had to schedule last minute requests.  We've had some really bad experiences with dog walkers in the past, but would absolutely recommend McCarren BArk to anyone in the neighborhood. We absolutely loved using Prospect Bark to take care of our pups. When we first started working with them we only had one dog and when we decided to adopted another they were so supportive and had a 45 minute conversation with us about our options and how to help adjust to life with a puppy. We even used them for overnights before and felt more than comfortable having someone stay over with our dogs. Kayla sends the cutest pictures and texts updates daily after she walks my boys. The only reason we are no longer using them is because we are moving out of the state,- however if they ever open a branch near where we move, we will certainly be using them again. If you are looking for a trustworthy and reliable company to take care of your pet, ProspectBArk is the place for you. We have been extremely happy with the service, from the first meet and greet to the communication from the walkers and management. Dede started walking Maya and  when she was no longer available Colleen took over. Both ladies were wonderful. I felt so comfortable with them handling Maya, they gave her lots of love and sent us text updates and pictures after each walk. We have a Canary (wifi camera) in our home, so I can confidently say that they did an amazing job with Maya. I had concerns with Maya at first having someone new take care of her, but they made the transition to hiring a dog walker so great. If there was a change of walkers or anything we needed to know about we received a text or email. Also, if there is a snow storm or holiday they communicate really well with the customers to give a heads up if they need to cancel appointments so their is no late charge. The portal they use is easy to book and cancel walks as needed.Unfortunately, we are moving out of Brooklyn. I know Maya will miss her daily walks with the ProspectBArk team.  Thank you all so much!! We LOVE Prospect Bark and our walker Beth. They have been caring for our two dogs for over 3 years with daily walks and in-home dog sitting when we go away. The daily walks are always on time and our dogs have a great time which we know because of the amazing photos we receive via text after each walk! Scheduling is incredibly easy and we trust Beth and the entire Prospect Bark team 100%. Laurel at ProspectBark is the most amazing walker I've ever experienced. She has such a love for animals and it really shows in the care she gives. My Yorkie Poo can be difficult and has some behavior issues but it never made Laurel weary. She knew exactly how to handle Lucy's anxiety and territorial nature. She always sent pictures and often spent some time giving Lucy belly rubs. ProspectBark is an absolutely wonderful company. From the first moment we emailed them to inquire about dog-walking services, they were responsive, organized, and committed to taking superb care of our dog. They immediately got back to us to set up a meet-and-greet with our dog-walker and to get us initiated into their portal (which makes scheduling and payments so easy). Our dog's walker, Beth, was compassionate, always prompt and present, took the time to get to know our dog (who can be a little anxious at first), sent us messages and pictures after every walk, and responded to all of our messages about any thoughts that came up for our dog that day. I originally found ProspectBArk through my brother. I was less nervous to try them out because my bother still continues to use their services and we treat our dogs like they are children. lol. I figured if he liked their service, I knew I would.I have used ProspectBark for a whole year now and they have been nothing but amazing. I love how i can make a last minute request and Dan is always available. My dog walker is Dan. He is so good with my dogs. My dogs are very shy with men and I originally wanted a female dog walker. But when Dan first met my pups he we was amazing with them, he took it slow and they fell in love with him. I love how Dan always takes a picture of my 2 dogs when he takes them out. It's hard for me to say enough good things about Prospect Bark.  Amber has been walking my dog Nino 3 days a week for over a year, and she is the best.  Attentive, responsible, communicative, kind, easy to work with...all good things.  Nino and I both love and appreciate her.  And then last week I went on vacation and my dog sitter locked herself and Nino out of the apartment while I was 1,000 miles away.  Amber was also away on vacation and to say that the owner of the company, Chun-Soon, went out of her way to make sure that they got let back in is an understatement.  Communicating with me and the sitter by text, she arranged for the keys to be delivered to my apartment, and Nino and the sitter were back inside, safe and sound, in an hour.  The people at Prospect Bark are truly the best and will treat your beloved pet as if s/he were their own.  I highly recommend them without reservation. We lived in Brooklyn for the last six years and had Prospect Bark for the last three. Our walker, Beth was fantastic. And everyone at the company was a pleasure to work with. They're very reasonable and flexible for scheduling. And they have a convenient online portal where you can schedule or cancel all of your walks. They also let you pay invoices online which is great. Every day we received epic photos from Beth of our dog on his walks in the park. They made our day. You could tell she loved taking him out every day. I've relied on friends and roommates to watch my cat Huxley when I was away in the past, but this holiday season I felt it was time to finally get a pet sitter so I would have comfort of mind when away. Through Yelp I found Prospect Bark, a wonderful local service. Becoming a new client was easy: you fill out the online form and then wait to hear back. The holidays are busy/popular times, so best to book early! Once my dates were set, I was introduced to my sitters via email and then we set up a time for them to come by apartment to meet my cat friend and see his routine. The two sitters arrived on time and asked lots of questions, and were so sweet to my kitty, I felt at ease right away! My favorite part of the pet sitting service is that they will text you pictures and videos of your feline (and I would guess canine) friends, so you know a visit took place and can see what they are up to. The visits took place anytime between 10am and 6pm, but you can schedule certain times if needed. Huxley was well loved and well fed while I was away, and I was able to relax and not stress about him being alone!I also found Prospect Bark to be super affordable, with a 30 minute visit (with no set time and no medicine administration) to be $18. We've been using ProspectBArk for the last several years to watch our two cats. We've had several sitters who serve our neighborhood and all of them have been excellent. Tina has known our cats for the longest, and it's clear that they feel safe and secure with her. Laurel and Lucy have also been great with our two monsters, and we always get a wonderful text (w/ pictures!) to let us know that all is well at home. Their sitters are all responsible and trustworthy-- I know that my home and my cats are in good hands when I go out of town. I have been using PB for the past two years, and the PB team have literally been lifesavers for myself and my dog. You can count on a quick response for any email inquiry (seemingly round-the-clock), and Chun-Soon even called me from her Hawaiian vacation to make sure a gift certificate purchase had gone smoothly. These guys are the best, thanks so much to Peter, Zach, Chun Soon, Matthew and the whole team for taking care of, well, me really for the past 2 years. My greyhound Vegas was well looked after and I could tell the team cared for her and it wasn't just a job for them to take her for her daily walks. Can't say enough about the team, they were there for me when I needed to be out of town on a moments notice, sometimes overnight and sometimes for emergency later walks... without ever making me feel like I was putting them out. We have been using Prospect Bark for walks for almost 5 years and love them! We have an elderly dog (she'll be 17 this August! ) and are always a little nervous about leaving her in the care of others. With Prospect Bark we have not had to worry at all. We even moved neighborhoods and there was no disruption in our care because they have such a great group of walkers. They come in person to meet you and your dog and take notes to make sure they know everything they need to know. They also send pictures after the walk so you know everything is ok. They also have a great online booking system which is a must for me. I work an unpredictable job and my schedule is rarely consistent so it is nice to be able to login and choose the walks I need for the week. Have been nothing but impressed by prospectbark! My pup, Furaha, has become friends with Amber and Zach who have done everything from 30 min and 60 min walks to overnight sitting and daytime sitting. Amber and Zach are both extremely competent. They always show up on time, send me photos of Furaha, and give me a summary of their visit with her. She is a bit of a complicated pup and they took a lot of time at the beginning of their relationship with her to get her warmed up to being around them. I feel relaxed and confident having them watch over her, even when I'm out of the country for a week at a time. The rest of the team at prospectbark, including the founders/directors, are also great. They are extremely responsive, thorough, and patient. I'm always impressed by how quickly they respond to my texts, emails, and service requests through their online portal. Prospect Bark has been doing cat sitting for me for a couple years. My cat is, frankly, kind of a jerk. Somehow, I get texts from the sitters every time they visit. He's either covered in a string, eating a treat (approved by me) out of their hands, or up and about instead of hiding on the bed, hissing. A+ right there. Then, we adopted a rescue dog and needed to enlist their services for afternoon weekday walks. They always text a picture and report on the business done on the walk. I have a crazy schedule and am a totally flakey canceler or last min booker of walks and they are always sweet and kind about it. If my regular walker can't make it, they always find someone else - and always ask if I want to do a meet and greet beforehand to make sure my dog is cool with the new person that'll be coming to the house. They are always very quick to respond to anything you need. I love that they are able to do anything by email and text as well as calling me - I hate being on the phone. Super happy! More...
