I contacted them last December, before Christmas, to set up training of my service dog. I was told due to the holidays it would be after the first of the year to get him in.
I told them of all of my requirements, ability to ignore surrounding other than me, nonverbal commands, the ability to not react to other animals, and the ability to take him out on the water with me.
I was told by the trainer, Jeremiah, it was guaranteed that he would come back after a one week fully immersed training with all of my requirements or I would be refunded or he would stay there training until it was complete.
The trainer, texted and called me multiple times a day from the first conversation, he was wildly inappropriate and made me feel uncomfortable. I had to have the training & this place came highly recommended, so I played the trainers game.
When I dropped off my service animal, the calls, text, and communication got increasingly inappropriate.
I was promised videos and camera access to his training, instead I received 2 10 second video clips, zero daily reports, & a plethora of excuses of this man going to the hospital, of his drinking issues, relationship problems, money issues, and disturbing accounts of his "military career". He also tried to hug me, unwelcomed, and while I was trying to avoid his advances he knock my brand new 2k phone puts my hands, shattering the screen. I had to pay 220 to replace a phone that I had literally just taken out the box 2 days before. I was told "You should've had a better case and that's going to be expensive to replace, hope you have insurance." No apology or offer to replace my phone.
I told the trainer I refused an E collar and the inverted spoke collars they forced on me. At an additional 300 total. Not including the veterinarian fees the occurred from the shock collar burning my dogs skin, the prong was a long haired dog prong and my dog is a staffordshire terrier, they definitely do not have long hair. Both collars, the shock and the inverted spike, were not made for his type and made too tight of a fit for him. The veterinarian prescribed antibiotics for the infection, something for his discomfort, cleansing ointments, and a creme to help heal the burn.
The owner fired the trainer and put me in the middle of trainer/ owner drama. The owner had the police call me and question me about the trainer and owner's relationship, about his constant & continuous harassment, & asked if I felt safe enough to file charges. I declined charges, due to questioning if this trainer was infact truly this military sniper or just a crazy stealing valor, I declined. The contact from trainer had increased to stalking at this point on all platforms of social media and sadly continues to this day. 8 months later.
The trainer before being fired told me that my service animal had attacked him and another dog, when I asked another trainer and owner about this they informed me this never happened and that the trainer was a drunk and was being terminated.
The owner asked me if I wanted a refund of my 1000 training fees, he assured me the trainer had been replaced by someone who could properly train my service animal and that he could produce the desired results if I brought my service animal back for another weeks training and if it wasn't completed to my approval I'd receive a refund or he would stay until properly trained.
I agreed to the training, because I still needed the services. (At this point the website still claimed they trained k9 drug/police dogs and service animals) The owner was suppose to have heart surgery, so he asked we wait a month to bring him in.
When I brought my service animal in, I was called that afternoon to pick him up, he was trained. I questioned this and told the new trainer he was to stay the full week and he said he would check with the owner to verify. For the next 4 days this continued until I picked up my UNTRAINED service animal.
I was NEVER given the services I paid for, reimbursed for the broken phone cause by his trainer, reimbursement for the vet bills or an apology.

My dogs were recently boarded over the holidays for 8 days and seemed to be very happy there! We’ve only boarded them one other place and honestly, weren’t that thrilled. So decided to check this place out and I was very pleased! I was able to check in on them & received a response almost immediately along with pics and a video of them playing! It was a thoughtful and caring gesture to send pics of my girls in little Christmas card border card. I normally hate daycare facilities but a friend told me to try River City K9 and I’m so glad I did. The staff genuinely seems to care about all the dogs that walk through the door. They also seem very knowledgeable about how to handle dogs, which I haven’t seen in many other dog daycares. The second day I came to drop my dogs off they got super excited as I pulled in the parking lot so clearly they love it here. I also asked them to bathe my dogs and when I picked them up they looked and smelled fantastic! This is one daycare facility I would recommend to everyone. Maggie and Andy love them! More...

As a fellow trainer in the area, I have great respect for Don, Shane and Mark. We can compliment each others' styles and skill sets and give referrals that fit. As far as boarding and daycare -I am very picky and will not send a client to a place that doesn't know what it is doing. These guys know dogs. These guys can handle dogs that the other places can't handle simply because they don't understand them. Too many dogs are labeled as aggressive simply because they displayed behavior that made someone uncomfortable because the dog was put in the wrong situation. If you have a dog that "no one" can take or handle, try these guys! If you have a dog that is easy - try these guys! Your dog will be cared for by experienced, caring and knowledgeable hands. More...

You can tell the staff really cares for animals and treats your dog as if they were their own. We wanted to bring our Standard Poodle puppy to daycare so she could be socialized with other dogs and not be afraid of new situations. I used River City K9 last month when I got married. It was the first time that I used a boarding company and I was especially nervous about it because these puppies are my babies! Chanin and Vinny are just incredible people and could not love on these dogs more. I had a trained protection german shep and a fat little staffy stay with them for a few days and I could tell they loved it. She would send me pics and videos from time to time and I could not have felt better about leaving them! I highly recommend them for boarding and behavior correction services! I've being a huge fan of Chanin's work. Following her training cues and work on Facebook. Not until recent I texted her for some help with a litter of rescued puppies. I am in Houston, she is in Florida. However, she did not hesitate to offered her help and advice long distance. She is a passionate and knowledgeable trainer. She doesn't care if your dog is pure breed or pure street, she sees the potential in each dog. She doesn't get stuck on genetics, she sees beyond that and helps you to redirect the behavior. She guides you with baby steps and listens to your goals for your dog. Either simple manners with these pups, or competition with my GSD. I highly recommended her. THANKS Channin!!! More...

My husband was deployed and I was having issues with his dog, an 85 pound male Dutch Shepherd that would not obey me and my daughter’s five month old high drive female Malinois. I felt like I couldn't handle the dogs. I was frustrated and embarrassed. My daughter and I had already created some bad habits with both dogs and had no idea how to change them.
